a little bit noisey

the hotel was very nice, rooms were spacious, convenient location (right beside the international market place), staff was friendly and helpful. but it was a bit noisey - because of the night club 2 doors down from the hotel. but on the bright side, the hotel does offer complimentary ear plugs.

Good hotel for the price.

Not a "boutique hotel" as we understand it in Europe. Renovation is dated 2006 but looks older.

Good room for the price.

It is conveniently located next to the International Market. The beach is about 10 mins. away(walking). The hotel room was pretty clean. The fridge was actually cold. They use 2 flat sheets instead of a comforter cover which I guess is okay. The bed was a little to soft for me and they only provide you with 3 pillows. The room had a/c which is a big plus and the view was spectacular. The downside to this place is that there is no fan in the bathroom and you have to go to the first floor to get ice. Also, their swimming pool looks like it has never been cleaned. You can't even see the bottom of it. Plus it is small and next to a garbage dump. I can see why they don't really advertise it. All in all it was decent for the price I paid. Lots of restaurants within walking distance and an ABC store 2 stores down.

Pleasantly Surprised

We were really surprised at how much we got for so little money. The hotel had been remodeled but it was more plush than we realized for the money.

Great room for the price

WOW was what we said as we entered the room. Great price, and a very nice room. It was equiped with a flat screen LCD TV, free wireless internet, fridge and microwave. The location was only 2 blocks from the public beach in Waikiki. The only negative, was a lot of activity and noise from the street below. We were even on the 14th floor.

Great room for the money

The hotel is on an excellent location, it offers all the exciment of the night life. We stay on the fourth floor and despite of other reviews the hotel is not noise at all. Ear plugs are provided for light sleppers.

Great room & easy access

near resturants, transportation and walking ditance to many places hotel staff very helpful

Needs Improvement - and a very loud place to stay!

It's easy to miss because it doesn't have a driveway or even a prominent sign. The worst thing about it was the noise - there is a night club, apparently in the same building, that goes until late at night. It's also a bad sign when the hotel has ear plugs in the rooms for the guests to use. Even after the club closes, there are people in the streets until the early hours of the morning, shouting or playing drums. Parking was also a weird situation, as they ran out of space by the time we got there, but there is a garage next door. I've stayed in hotels in Manhattan that are quieter and easier to park in. The other thing that bothered us was the state of the bathroom - I know thatAqua spent a ton of money remodeling the rooms, but the bathrooms still had old fixtures and plumbing, and the (new) towel bars were coming off the wall. I don't reccommend this hotel at all.

Very happy with our stay.

We chose this hotel for the location and price. This was our first stay and despite the bad reviews I read, we had a very pleasant stay. Yes, there is some noise you could hear from the street and nearby parking garage since we were on the 3rd floor but nothing we couldn't handle. The hotel staff were great! The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfy. Parking is cramped but we ventured out early every day and returned early and always found a parking spot. We will be staying here again on our next trip.
