Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 1 of 60Could do better
This hotel is in the seedier section. Lots of drunks yelling in the alley late at night. I had to drag my bags up the front steps because they have no ramp and there was no concierge there when I arrived, but they let me check in early at 10AM with no hassle. Room was big.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 2 of 60Waikiki party scene
I chose this hotel because it is next to the International Market, which I discovered has pros and cons. If you are in Waikiki to party, this should work fine. You are on a main drag, as evidenced by the dozens of hookers who stroll back and forth in front of the hotel all evening. For those seeking peaceful relaxation, by far the most negative problem is noise. There are live performers at the Market and there are loud nightclubs nearby; even the car elevator at the parking garage next door can be annoying. To help at least a little, I recommend reserving a room on the highest floor you can get. They also provide free earplugs. There is no breakfast provided but there is a Jack in the Box fast food restaurant across the street and a restaurant/bar next door that serves breakfast. There is also a China Garden restaurant in the hotel, and a short walk to the International Market will offer you food choices such as Filipino, Thai, etc. Despite your ability to reserve a smoking room on the Hotels.com site, this property is completely non-smoking, and that even includes your balcony or lanai. In-room Wi-Fi worked well. As with too many domestic hotels, they had horrible cheap bathroom tissue so you may want to bring your own. Elevators need improvement.

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 3 of 60Convenient Hooker Chateau
If you are looking for a lot of "working girls" convenient to your hotel, then this is the place. If you want a wonderful view of the parking garage, squeaky tires and all, what a paradise. When you check-in and go into your room, you will find that the hotel has included a pair of ear plugs for your stay....aahh how convenient. Need I say more? You are truly dumber than I was if you book this hotel. I am not that picky either....since I am truly a backpacker.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 4 of 60Won't stay there again
The hotel was located between 2 alleyways that seem to attract a lot of drunks, and just unruly people. The stench from the big trash bins was horrible. We had to pay for parking which I thought was way too much. People used the parking lot of the Waikiki trade Center next door as a party place, yelling, drinking, racing their cars until dawn. We had to pay extra to change our room to the upper floor to lessen the noise.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 5 of 60great room, bad parking
The hotel was great, but the parking was not as excellent. There was a fair amount of street party noise, too.

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 6 of 60Great room for the money
We booked this hotel because it has 2 queen size beds, frige and microwave. It's also very close to the beach, international market, etc. Front desk stuff is very friendly. As some other people pointed out. The parking is very hard and costly. It's noisy at night on the street, which may cause trouble sleeping. Elevators are slow. There are only 2 for 15 stories building. We lived on the 3rd. I would prefer to walk thru the stairs. But there is none available.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 7 of 60Convenient, Spacious Rooms But Street Traffic Noise
Spacious rooms. Friendly staff and management. Free concierge on site major plus++. Main disadvantage is the surrounding street noise particularly since hotel is located on busy street next to International Market, garage, and nightlife locales. Wished I had brought a white noise gadget. If there's other available rooms, staff will try to accomodate you to another room.

Was surprised that workmanship like paint and tile in bathroom was below standard, our nine year old could've done a better job.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 12 of 60Good Value with a Great Location
Located in the center of the Nightlife District it provided easy access to many nightlife attractions. The rooms were clean and provided the basics of amenities. Parking was available for an additional charge on a limited basis. Simply a good place to relax but not spend all of your time there. I intend on making it a regular stay place for me.

In the heart of everything, including the night life, which can get loud some evenings. Great for young adults who want to get into the heart of everything.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 14 of 60Terrrible view (parking garage) and very noisy
Two years ago we stayed at the Aqua Palms, paid the same price, and were looking forward to the same experience. The Wave is located in a very noisy area - street noise and loud music lasted until 2:00am and then the garbage trucks took over. We were 10 floors up, with our windows closed, and still found it difficult to sleep. The lanai was useless for having the leisurely breakfast we had planned - we overlooked a parking garage and a back alley - plus the Continental breakfast now costs $5.00 for minimal pastries and coffee ..... the fresh fruit we enjoyed at the Aqua Palms was not offered. Room was smaller and, unlike the Palms, there were no dishes, glasses or silverware for making our own breakfast. We left very early the next morning and would never stay at this Aqua location again.
