Nice Place to Stay

Within walking distance of Downtown Disney. Pleasant stay, Nice pool facilities. Other that not getting one of my scheduled wake-up calls, eerything went well

Acceptable hotel for the money

The hotel staff are great, except the housekeepers - seems to have no collection of the number of towels requested on the first day (I had to continually request for extra towels everyday fot the next 4 days!) According to the maintenance guys, the A/C condensation was dripping into the bathroom sink. Now why that will happen, and 'though a relatively new hotel, no one knows that this will happen? Annoying and inconvenient to say the least. The Giraffe cafe is too small! the lobby is great. Again, this hotel is acceptable for the money.

The maintenance of the common areas in the hotel is horrible. Looks like it's never clean.

Perfect Location

Indeed this hotel was in walking distance to a handful of restaurants and stores. The shuttles alwasy ran every 15min. This hotel is close to Disney Downtown, not Disney World (there is a compl. shuttle). We stayed on the 17th floor facing Hotel drive for the 4th of July. Everynight we saw the fireworks from Magic Kingdom and some from Epcot, and Downtown Disney. Rooms are royal and beds are very comfortable. Very quiet. Note: there is no compl. WIFI. or buss. center. Those services are provided at an extra fee. Also there was an additional $8.00 per day hotel charge. It was well worth the money and stay.

Great hotel, HORRIBLE internet access

The hotel was very clean and the bed was the most comfortable bed I ever slept on at a hotel. The management was especially responsive when they thought our room was not cleaned one day. When we locked our keys in the room and went to the front desk to get a new one later that day, they saw in the computer the room wasn't cleaned. The manager flew into action and got house keeping to the room immediately. It turns out the room was cleaned but they forgot to mark it in the computer. Anyway, it seems the previous complaints about the rooms being dirty were taken seriously by the management and they actually are taking steps to improve that. So kudos to them. Ok, now for the bad. The one BAD thing about this hotel is it is NOT for business travelers who need internet access and specifically access to their company's VPN line. IT WILL NOT WORK even though the online help says it will!!! The wireless in the hotel is not configured correctly, and the signal strength will fluctuate (while not even moving the computer) from full strength to little or no strength within a 5 minute interval. The internet comes and goes in bursts. It will work for 5 minutes then I'd spend the next 5 trying to reconnect, then it will run really really really slow for a few minutes, then run fast again. Even though the web site you connect to their internet through says it supports VPN connections it does NOT! So stay away!!! I complained to the manager about this problem and they knew their internet wouldn't work with VPNs and he didn't seem to concerned about having the company who provides and maintains their internet fix their problems. He had more of an "it is what it is" take on the whole internet debacle. My take on his attitude was "I have no idea how to fix it so something that works 25% is better than something that works 0%." Overall I would highly recommend this hotel, but DO NOT PAY THE EXTRA $10/DAY FOR INTERNET!!! Go to the kinkos down the street if you need internet access or f

Good location and room for the money

An average to above-average hotel. The hotel is within walking distance to Downtown Disney and a mall with various stores and restuarants. A shuttle service is available to bring you to all the attractions. My only complaints are that there were few television stations available, no premium stations or movies to purchase, that they charge you for internet access in your room and the computers were not working in the Business center. Other then that it was a geat trip.

Here for business...

All staff were friendly but they seem to be running on a reduced staff, particularly house keeping which is always concerning. The room was not ready until after 4 and it was rarely cleaned before then. The jacuzzi seemed like a great feature but was never clean enough to make me actually want to use it. The shower curtain wasn't smelly but did have mildew and a squashed spider on it. The room was tidy, amply sized and the rug was in good shape. Surprisingly for a hotel of this apparent caliber internet was $10.00 a day, the ice machine was 4 floors away, a refrigerator was $75.00 and a microwave was available for a fee. There was only 4 cups of coffee and 2 creamers and no tea. No lotion, no shower cap...just not great value for the money. I really missed my Residence Inn!!!!

Nice place

Very Nice hotel. Only problem was the ac unit the fan would not turn off so it was freezing cold in the room and you could not shut it off with the thermostat. Also they charged an extra fee to use the resort ammenities which to me should have been included with the stay.
