Great room for the money

The room was clean and the staff is friendly. The hotel needs updated but the location is great and the price is great. If you are just looking for a place to hang your hat at night this is the hotel.

Hotel has a very good locatiion. It is close to Wikiki Beach and to the bus station (just about 3 min. walking). The room is very simple: just a bed, little table with two chairs and tv with programs on purchase. Refrigerator which is located in the bathroom(?) is very small. There is no coffee maker in the room. For the price we paid (50% less summer sales) it was ok but for the full price I would never booked that hotel again. When we arrived to hotel for registeration they asked us to give them credit card for copying, they said it was insurance just in case if something would be missing after our departure. It sounded as if they did not trust to customers. We felt confused and not welcomed. I have stayed in many different hotels and this was the first that asked the thing like that. In overal the stay was good.

Very Happy!

We came here with 10 family members (5 rooms) for 2 weeks to get married at Magic Island Park. We all got ocean view rooms with balcony's for 70 bucks night. I'm in a wheelchair paralyzed from the neck down (C3-4) and found the acomodations good. Of course no wheelchair accessible shower (but no hotel does). The only complaints is the a/c units are kinda loud and water temp and pressure are not ideal. We slept fine every night. Absolutely the best location to be at- next to huge park, zoo, beach, shops, free movies & concerts on the beach every Sunday. Nice views! We stayed in room 1415 and family stayed in 1220, 1419, 1401. The 1401 has a wrap-around balcony with city & oceanview with 2 double beds for "city view" price. Left laptop, cameras and wallets in rooms with no worries. Staff is friendly too. If u get oceanview rooms get it on at least the 12th floor beach the few hotel in front will block the view more. Basic hotel

WE GOT THIS HOTEL BECAUSE IT WAS ECONOMICAL. WE ONLY NEEDED A BED, WHICH WAS GOOD. WE GOT CHARGED $15 A NITE FOR PARKING OUR CAR, I WAS NOT HAPPY.

Spacious, clean room for the money

Room is relatively spacious, more than adequate for a single traveller. Convenient location and parking facilities available in and out of the property. Only negative side was there was no coffee available in and out of the room for an early departure.

Very good value very near the beach. Close to everything in Waikiki.

Okay hotel

I've stayed at this hotel a few times before, but this last stay was not as good and we dont know if we will go back. The location is perfect, ABC store just a few minute walk and it is close to the zoo and shopping and the hotel restuarant is pretty good. The parking situation really is the problem. $15 for parking, before we had valet which was kind of worth the price but now it is $15 and you self park in a tiny parking lot. Also be sure to bring exactly $15 cause the machine dont give change, my mistake i paid $20 for parking the car myself. Then the front desk didnt do our keys right and my husband had to go all the way back down stairs, it wasnt fun.

Cheap, but you get what you pay for

Parking is expensive! Keep that in mind. Parking is $15 a night so make sure you add that to your nightly total when thinking about this hotel. You can park kitty corner at the Waikiki Banyan for $10 a night or $60 for 7 nights, which is what we did. The basic room is very small, but it does have a decent air conditioner. The location is great and you're pretty much walking distance to everywhere.

the good and the bad

The location was great. Walking distance to Waikiki Beach, the Zoo, the Park. The room was large and clean, however, we had problems with hot water coming out of the cold water faucet which made bathing and brushing your teeth difficlut. Also the refrigerator didn't get very cold. It could have just been that room. Lastly, parking sucked.

Moderate Hotel Stay

Hotel My major concern was that the beds were old and spongy. If you sat on the corner of the bed you'd be on the floor soon. overall if you just need a place to stay for a cheap rate it's a good buy but I would not book this hotel for another Vacation stay for myself. I booked a queen bed online but got twins when I got my room.
