Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 1 of 89Europe amidst modernity
I loved this hotel. For the price, it provided great atmosphere. From the antique furniture throughout the hotel, the artwork, the classic old Otis elevator that was man/woman operated, the cafe with included breakfast, the ambience was fabulous. A block from all the shopping and restaurants was great as well. The only drawback was the smell. The cleaning solutions they used created an odor that was mildly unpleasant. Someone who is really sensitive to that would be unhappy. For me, if it were in any other place, would have been more of a problem. But in the atmosphere of this lovely pension styled hotel, I was willing to overlook it. However, if they read this, it would be great if they would switch to more organic solutions. Then this place would be perfect. Highly recommended.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 3 of 89Great Find!
My wife and I stayed there the day before our cruise. Very nice hotel. Neat old features such as the elevator. Would make a nice romantice getaway. Small coffee shops, Dennys and Miracle mile are a short walk away. Hotel staff was very friendly. Felt like home.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 4 of 89St. Michel - Best kept secret in Miami
If you are looking for a hotel with character and class, Hotel St. Michel is what you are looking for. The hotel is very historic and located just off of "Miracle Mile" in Miami. The interior is classic French decoration, with beautiful hard-wood floors. The rooms are spacious and make you feel like you've been transported to France. It has modern amenities like a flat-screen LCD TV blended in with the classic setting. A true gem of a hotel in Miami!

The location is great, the rooms are charming and the staff is pleasant. The inside door handle to the room fell off as we were leaving, there is a strong odor of perfumed cleaning products and the stairway carpet needs replacing. Once we aired the room, the odor went away. It's an old hotel.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 6 of 89Cute, Very clean, Friendly Staff
We were attending a conference so really we were at the hotel only at night. My husband said he really didn't have time to enjoy it, but I loved all the little details: the decoration, the wooden floors in the room and all tile in the bathroom, the fixtures, the beautiful french windows, the old style elevator, the hotel entry and foyer, and the seet, very helpful gentleman who checked us in. It was a great room for the money and it is in a very nice area - 2-3 minutes from the Miracle Mile 7-8 minutes from UM. There are several nice restaurants on the Miracle Mile, and even just a couple blocks over, as well as 4 or 5 nice bakeries and coffee shops. I absolutely loved our time there and would definitely stay again if we are in the area.

we were very pleased in general. They need to tell you that a cont. breakfast is available. We didn't know until we came back from getting breakfast.

Very old with lots of character.. not too bad for the price. Excellent location, but you have to pay for parking.

Beauty, charm and elegance that was unexpected when I first booked. Exquisite detail,as I love rich wood, tile antiques. Very much like a trip to Europe. Parking is awkward, however.

This is a quaint hotel with all of its 1920s charm....the old style decor was great. Some updates are needed, particularly the bathroom. Overall, it was a nice quiet choice and served the purpose as a 'stopover' location.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 11 of 89Lovely old hotel
I read the reviews prior to booking a room at this hotel so I knew what to expect when I arrived. Yes, the hotel is old, but it is a wonderful reflection of days gone by. The staff was friendly and courteous. The location is fantastic. The hotel was clean and the rooms comfortable. I have already recommended to friends.
