First, the building look old and dilapidated. Second, the way the hotel is set up it was difficult to find the run-down room that was assigned to me. There was hair in the toilet bowl and the room had a disturbing smell. Third, the weather was a bit chilly due to the change of climate around that time and to make matters worst, I was assigned another room due to the poor conditions of the first one but the air unit could not be regulated. It was either burn are freeze. I was seriously not satisfied and because of that, I would not dare recommend this hotel to anyone.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 3 of 11YOu get what you pay for :o)
Amazingly close to Universal and all good restaurants. Inexpensive, clean. Nothing fancy. Ice machine was broken and so was our A/C! Luckily it was cool enough outside to not have to worry about it.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 4 of 11Obscure Hotel Detection
The flower plants need to be removed from the fromt of the hotel sign. They are blocking easy detection - especially at nights. A larger well lit sign bearign the name of ther hotel will be more helpful. I also think that a little fitness room (with very basic) just enough to evoke a sweat will be of great benefit to both hotel and guest. Finally, the rooms either needs to be made more antique or contemporary. They are too basic, get some TV that sreve a dual purpose, i.e they can show video/dvd and regular TV at the same time. Overall, the location is ideal and may attract much more people if a little more touch is given to its services as suggested. Hence if added this beautiful location can become much more noticeable to guest.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 6 of 11Looked better on the internet.
The hotel staff were really courteous, so that sort of made up for the fact that the hotel itself needs some major renovations. You can't just paint the rooms contemporary colors and assume that they look contemporary. The mattresses were on there last leg. It was so obvious that they had seen better days. We were put on the third floor, so we took the elevator up....bad choice. It made weird noises like it was in need of some major maintainance. It wasn't all bad. We were given coupons for a complimentary breakfast, and 2 for 1 coupons to the adjacent bar. I guess I shouldn't really bash them, I got what I paid for.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 8 of 11Needs Alot of Improvement
The hotel was very unattractive. Compared to the hotels next to it, it looked like a hole in the wall. The rooms smelled funny. The air conditioners leaked. The key cards worked when it wanted to. I definitely think this hotel should close down for a month to re-renovate the rooms and re-paint the building.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 9 of 11Good for What it Was
We needed a cheap room close to Universal, and that's exactly what we got. It's nothing extravagent, but as a place to crash after a long day at the theme parks, its perfect. They offer a small continental breakfast and a free shuttle to the theme parks too! However, we did have some difficulty getting into our room with the key card...
