Waikiki Marina Hotel

Pretty good hotel overall

I have stayed there about 6 times or so in the last year. It's a pretty nice hotel for the price. Pool, Jacuzzi, and a tennis court is cool too. The only thing that sucked was they don't really tuck the sheets in very well and sometimes you wake up on a sketchy mattress. My girlfriend dubbed it the "sketchress". The laugh was worth it. Good times.

The lobby and the office are funky. thats probably because they are a privateley owned cond0 complex. I was traveling with my boter and asked for two full or queen beds. i found out when we got there ther are only studio rooms with kitchenettes and a queen size bed and all rooms appeared to have ocean view. they gave us two rooms for the price of one . I believe if i was traveling with a wife or girlfriend we would have only gooten one. You figure it out had we not got the two rooms i would have been bummed and tis review would have a completely diffrent tone to say the least. not for families good for people on the go and the price was right . the pool was small and in the shade all day but, hey, u are in hawaii.the elevators are slow, but i would still request between 20th and 40th floor because the view is great and u are above the construction and street noise that goes on on kam hgwy. ask for a recently remodeld room . the air conditiong wasaverage at best . other than that two kitchenettes two rooms and two bathrooms and two airconditioners for 100.00 a nite was great value after th 30% off deal taht hotels.com was running will keep me coming back to hotels.com and hawaii....

good for the price

the aqua marina was a very good deal for the price. There are no frills (except free internet if you bring your laptop and a cable). There was a bed, a window AC, and a tv with cable. If you are not fussy, and likely not in the room much any ways, this may be the place for you :)

Needs Improvement

The Bed didn't have a fitted sheet and it was cheap and uncomfortable. I didn't have a hair dryer in the room and called the front desk. They said housekeeper will be there soon. When housekeeping was at the door, she was loud and rude and said "I don't have a hair dryer, you have to go to the front desk and get it yourself". I called the front desk and he said "we have one down here at the front desk" I replied, do I have do get it myself? Then he replied "we have one at the front desk." Shortly after, the housekeeper knocked hard on the door and said "I have you're hair dryer". I was not able to come to the door so I told her to leave it. What a shame--very poor unprofessional service. Mahalo & Aloha!

needs improvement

the look of the hotel lobby totally belies the look and condition of the room. while the lobby was clean and classy, the the room was dingy and outdated.

Needs Improvement

The hotel is kind of old and I found hair in the sink and shower. Also the pool area is surrounded by so many tall buildings that there is very little sun. Also it isn't as big as it looks and the windows open wide without a screen or anything so basically if you have kids you wouldn't want to leave them attended for a second because they could open the window and fall to their death.

Why this Hotel?

Good location to be three block from the beach. Tacky hotel, with bad service. Need a big improvement. If not in room and on beach most of time, good price for room.

I really enjoyed the beautiness of the hotel and the room. It was really worth the money. I will definitely stay in this hotel again

Needs Improvement

My room was on the 37th floor with an awesome view of the ocean. The the hotel room itself needs major renovations. The bed was old and hard with stains on the mattress that also smelled of urine. The carpet was horrible and the room just had an overall "old" smell to it. The hotel had no amenities, it was off the main street with no real hotel lobby and a very small swimming pool. It also had tennis coutrs for which you had to bring your own equipment! I would not stay there again
