Okay Place to Stay

This is definitely a no-frills kind of place, which is usually okay with me. The window had a broken latch and wouldn't lock, which wasn't as okay with me. I arrived late at night and had to check in at the hotel next door, which was mildly annoying, and because no one was at the hotel's front desk, I couldn't get a wake up call or help with the broken window. I doubt that I will stay there again.

Decent Hotel

The hotel room itself is small. The location is great and its a safe area to walk around in. A partial ocean view was only blocked by other hotels. I would stay there again but if I had the budget, I would stay in a more resort style hotel if I was on vacation. I was there on business and it fit my needs

Fantastic deal for the location!

The room was very spacious and had a very comfy bed with extra bedding. THe kitchenette was not very well stocked with dishes and utensils, but with the value, you can't go wrong!

Convenient quality hotel

This hotel is conveniently located, parking is a challenge at times but the rooms is adequete if yu just plan to sleep in room. Hotel is currenly under minor renovations. But all for the money it is worth it.

Great room for the money

This is a hotel with a great location. It is close to the beach and the mall. There are great restaurants around and most everything is easy access. For the price it is a great deal. Staff are very nice. This hotel is not the ritzy version but it is a great deal.

Don't stay there

There are other hotels in the area that are cleaner, smell better and are just as affordable. I thought the kitchenet would be a nice feature to have so that's why we went with this hotel. It's not worth it. I will not stay there again and reccomend choosing something else.

It's worth it to pay a little more

I wish that Hotel.com would not even offer hotels that have as many problems as the Aqua Waikiki Marina. The hotel and rooms are shabby, shabby, shabby and there are things that don't work--like the cold water faucet in the bathroom. The staff would be nice and helpful one time and surly or avoident the next--mostly the latter. A policy of theirs that seems to capture the lack of customer service of the hotel is that they will give you complimentary coffee fixings the first day, but after that you have to go down to the lobby and purchase it for a dollar.

No where near the top choice

I stayed at the Waikiki aqua for a conference. For the money, the hotel was very conveinient for shopping, beach visiting, and the bus which would take you all over the island. The staff excluding my first evening there were rude and non-helpful concerning local venues, and were very hesitant to assist with reccommendations to area attractions, or conveinience of bus stops. There was also a $20 dollar a night fee for parking a car there (we rented our car), but this was not explained to us on arrival to the hotel. At our checkout, we had to pay an extra $160.00 for parking for the extent of time we were there. That was a huge surprise!!Management explained that we had received papers on this on check-in, but all that had been given to us was a receipt of hotels.com being billed, 2 key cards and a remote to the garage. We had to pay the amount even though we had no knowledge of the parking fee for our rented car. I would never stay at this hotel again, and I would not reccommend this hotel to anyone staying in Waikiki, HI.

"Needs Improvment "

The hotel was located in a nice place, and the front desk was helpful. But the housekeeping needs more improvment because my room was not made up. I returned to my room after an all day workshop and found that the bathroom was not cleaned, trash still in the waste baskets, dirty linens weren't replenished, room was not vacuumed, kitchen area was not wiped overall the room was the not cleaned.

great but could use some improvement

some how we got moved into a room with a great ocean view even though i payed for one without. that was nice. i was disappointed that the bathroom did not come with a tub. its nice to sit in the tub when u go to a hotel because i live in filthy army barracks and never wash in a tub. also the the bed wasnt completely made, the bed cover wasnt tucked in. my newly web wife in her somewhat inebriated state pulled all the covers over us even the bed covers because they were not tucked in. the hotel should have some sort of room service. having no food at the hotel was annoying. nbot having toothpaste and other hygeine items available was also frustrating. being able to store food and luggage on the last day of my stay in storage so i could explore the town and then return for my stuff was great. overall the the hotel was nice and somewhat impressive and affordable.
