Needs Improvemet

I found the hotel to need physical work inside the room (bad paint job, wood framing missing, bad toilet, terrible shower head, leaking water from ceiling). The hotel offered a Continental breakfast, this was toast and coffee. Did like the shuttle to Miami Port. Although is becoming a norm, do not enjoyed being charged for parking. The staff was not friendly at all. Overall I do not recommend this hotel.

Great value for money

I stayed there 3 nights in June and to tell you it was very nice well kept staff was very friendly and helpful. They always smiled upon greeting and that says alot. Could have been closer to the restaurants and shopping in the area though, however just around the corner ther is this great little place for breakfast and lunch makes fantastic subs and salads. The hotel's restaurant was closed while we were there.

A little hidden secret at miami

Never expected to find a clean and nice hotel like this one. Rooms, service and location were great. I will definetely return to the hotel. Do not hesitate to reserve a room in here.

Needs Improvement

My only disappointment with this hotel is the breakfast offered, if you like good breakfast like me I would not recommend it, otherwise is a good deal for the price.

Nice Place for the Price

Nice place for the price. I will definitely come back.

Needs improvement fast and gives little to desire.

Hotel is going through major restorations and remodeling. Not too many elevators were functional. The reception area gives you an uneasy impression the moment you walk in. And as for the rooms, they are clean and okay in comfort but are not sound proof at all. It's a cheap place to stay but if you want something that will give you more privacy and security its worth to pay a little more elsewhere.

Dirty!

This hotel needs a complete make-over. The building was rustic and charming at first glance but quite a disappointment when staying there. The sheets were either dirty or stained, I'd rather not know which. The water in the shower got very hot and then very cold within seconds and was inconsistent the entire time. There was a restaurant downstairs that was closed for tax evasion. The pool was cold and the sun only hit it for an hour or so each day. Breakfast consisted of cold bagels, warm cream cheese and slices of bread. The parking garage was tight and difficult to navigate and cost an extra $8 per day. The employees did not speak English and were very rude. Do not stay here!

Worst Miami Hotel

The hotel calls itself the best kept secret in Miami -- and you would think they're right when you take a first look. You walk in and the lobby is well-done, but the moment you need anything is when the hotel fails you. We booked the hotel because it was relatively close to the airport and had a free "airport shuttle." The hotel fails to tell you that the shuttle is only running from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Anyone who is a budget traveler (and you probably are if you're staying at this hotel) will take a budget flight, meaning you'll fly in really late and fly out really early. We ended up paying $60 extra to get to and from the hotel, and should have just paid to stay at an airport hotel, or at a hotel that actually cares about service. When we asked to speak to the manager, one of the men at the front desk said, "OK, I'll take your number, but she's not going to call you back." He was right, she never did (and I called back -- twice!) Not to mention, we waited for 10 minutes while one of the front desk workers was on his cell phone trying to drop a college class. Also, if you bring a car, be prepared to pay to park it. Bottom line: It looks nice, but they don't seem to care about their customer service (which can kill a vacation).

Great room for the money

The hotel was very affordable and was in a great location, close to coral gables and coconut grove. Downtown Miami and south beach was not to far away as long as you avoid rush hour times. The hotel seemed a bit dated, but a great value with helpful staff. We took a cruise and they allowed us to park our car there for a fee way cheaper than the port terminal parking and offered free shuttle to and from the port of Miami.
