Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 66Not Recomended
The Hotel Reception was okay and the receptionist was helpful until we checked the room. The Bathrooms were dirty and there were no bath towels. Called the front desk about the bathrooms. They were supposed to send someone to the room with towels but they never came. Internet access is only available on the first seven floors. convenient for downtown and the Riverwalk, however would not recommend anyone stay at this hotel.

Trip Type: Family Review 2 of 66Nice Hotel
The room was very clean, but small. Good for two people but we were more. Did need some paint updated but when we were leaving they were painting. There was only a bar no restrurant. They nickel and time you for everything (parking and communication fees), but I checked and all of the hotels are I guess trying to recoupe from the hurricane. Over all Good.

Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 66Take 3
After a long day of air travel, our first room assigned to us was not clean--no bedding, a coffee cup with coffee in it still on the end table, etc. The second room only had one bed when we requested two. Finally, on our third room all was good and the stay was worth the money. It is the cheapest hotel in the area and still worth it even with the lack of service.

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 66Great room and location for the money
Older hotel, with no-frills service, but good condition, nice quiet rooms, satisfying service, and certainly good for the price. Nice location too.

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 66Nice hotel close to the French Quarter
If you are going to New Orleans and are not going to spend a lot of time in your room, this is the place to stay. Be sure to visit the World War II Museum while you are there.

Trip Type: Family Review 9 of 66Warning!! Be carefull of Extra Charges
Thought it was a great hotel, till I came home and found an additional $200 charge on my credit card, for 'room damage'. Apparently my parents through a 'foreign' shampoo bottle in the toilet, even though we traveled to other hotels and didn't miss any shampoo bottles..Stay away, or have them check the room before you check out !!!

Trip Type: Family Review 10 of 66Poor Customer Service
We checked in at 3pm to a room with broken safe. After an hour of waiting and fixing the staff said-"there are no options. no other rooms, no safe at front desk." This was followed by the realization that we had ONE towel. When I asked for more I was told, "they are in the dryer." Four hours later i asked again and had to explain how many people were in my room and how many towels i really needed! (I was asking for 3 towels for 2 people for 2 days!) The bathroom plug did not work and we had a phone plugged in all night to charge. Upon checkout-the staff chatted with friends while 3 guests waited, the bellman never did come and we ended up carrying our bags to another hotel to check them. the rate was cheap but not worth the bad service.

Trip Type: Family Review 11 of 66TERRIBLE!!
Do not stay here! The breakfast consisted of a muffin and coffee. Our room was maintenence included making up the bed. The dirty towels were gone, but we had to literally hunt new ones. There were dead or dieing roaches everywhere. Customer service was the worst. They didn't care as long as you paid.... We will NEVER stay here again!

Trip Type: Family Review 12 of 66Great room for the money
Although the hotel is a little old and the rooms were a little too small, all in all it was great for the money.

Trip Type: Family Review 14 of 66mismanaged; serious issues
perhaps new years' eve is tough nite to arrive, but we made our rez a month in advance and when we arrived from the airport, we were told there is no more rooms and we were going to be given alternative accommodation elsewhere. 2 hours later and few talks with GM (the nicest guy in the joint, btw - everyone else has super major attitude, the front desk people can hardly manage simple function as to charge a credit card - quite a sight!) we were given a room on site (they checked out someone else if you can believe it)! it felt like a science fiction but it is somewhat disturbing to have to go through something like this after flying cross-country (and having expectations for NYE). they were overbooked 8 rooms that night. poor management, even worse customer service. the room is extremely comfy though - that is -if you can get into one.
