Trip Type: Romance Review 5 of 172Horrible Facility - Not worth any price
My stay at the Queen and Crescent Hotel was so bad that looking back on it, it's almost comical. I never write reviews online, so the fact that I am taking time out of my work day to write a poor review really reflects the poor quality of this hotel. Here are some highlights of what to expect: -Mandatory $7 per day charge for phone/internet at Check-In even after you prepay -I stayed in the second adjacent building which I could not get into until another guest let me in. My room key would not open the door and the actual door handle was broken. -I paid for a room with a Queen bed, and of course it was only a Full bed. Normally this wouldn't bother me, but the bed was uncomfortable and small. I didn't get any good sleep. These three issues really rubbed me the wrong way and I hadn't even been at the hotel for 30 minutes. Other concerns: -Lack of light. There was one "frosted" window in the room with a metal grate. One of the three lamps did not work. -Cleaning was lackluster. There was a used bandaid on the door and the mirror was clearly never washed. One day, there were no towels in the bathroom. -Whenever I had an issue, the front desk was busy. I couldn't tell if the phone didn't work or the front desk intentionally left the phone off the hook.

Trip Type: Romance Review 8 of 172Misleading
The hotel was very nice. I thought it was a bit misleading because it was supposed to have an older victorian feel to it and it didn't. There were no exposed bricks or bath tubs in the rooms. The room was remarkably small. I really liked the staff they were very helpful with directions and suggestions to do. We stayed in a smoking room that did not have an ashtray. We called and asked for one but it was never received. The valet parking was much cheaper than any of the parking garages around and you could leave your car there for the whole visit.

Trip Type: Romance Review 9 of 172Great Sunday stay
I decided at the last minute to stay in New Orleans overnight and looked for a really nice room for a reasonable price and I found it here. The price was so affordable so I lowered my expectation for the quality of the room. I was very pleasantly surprised because it was a beautiful room and a great nights sleep.

Trip Type: Romance Review 10 of 172Good value, but don't expect too much.
It took an hour of waiting in line to check in. Only one elevator worked, and you had to use it. There were no stairs accessible from the first floor (except emergency exits). The room was mostly clean, with some cigarette burns in the bed runner. The bed was comfortable and the location was good.

Trip Type: Romance Review 11 of 172Great value
We booked the hotel on the day of travel. Online booking gave us free parking which saved us at least 15 bucks. The receptionist, Le Ann was very pleasant and went out of her way to help us out and suggest ways to enjoy our trip. Overall the room was clean and comfortable but did have signs of wear and tear. However, it is extremely well located and you do not need a car to travel around.Easily, one of the better hotels to stay in. One sour point was that there is a mandatory internet charge of around 8 dollars which we could have done without.

Trip Type: Romance Review 12 of 172Great Location for the Price
This hotel is in a great location. It's in walking distance from Harrah's Casino, Bourbon St. and the French Quarters. It's located in downtown New Orleans. Everything was very clean and it was very quiet. The only thing that was unsatisfactory was that the TV only showed a few channels and not the full basic cable. Other than that I think this hotel is a great place to stay if you're in the area just visiting. It's surrounded by great restaurants and tourist sites.

Trip Type: Romance Review 14 of 172Small but nice.
When my husband and I opened the room door we were very surprised that the room was as small as it was. There was room for a TV armorer and queen size bed, that was it. I have gotta say though the room was very clean as was the bathroom. Everyone there was super nice and very helpful.
