Modern hotel, poor location for tourist with no auto

I booked this hotel on line and at the time the ad said that it was close to the Chartres Cathedral. I arrived on a Sunday when there is no bus service and dragged my luggage three miles. On weekdays there is a bus that goes from the hotel to the central part of Chartres and if you could time it right (it only goes 3 times a day) it wouldn't be a bad deal. It's in a modern industrial park and is very comfortable and shiny. The restaurant was nice, but a little pricey (for me). Enjoyed my stay but switched to a hotel within walking distance of the Cathedral.
