This has become our favorite hotel in New Orleans! My kids and I stay there 4-5 times a year and it's amazing. Luxurious but with the warmth and character you expect to find in the deep South and in New Orleans in particular. The staff is so gracious and accommodating--and we love the tradition of peanut butter sandwiches and hot chocolate in the lobby every night.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 38Pool Closed in JULY!
I booked this hotel because the pool is on the roof for my 4 & 6 year olds. When they got up there in their bathing suits, it was empty! I was extremely upset, plus 4 blocks from the French Quarter doesn't sound like a lot, but it really is (especially with kids). For the price, I would get something farther south or in the French Quarter.

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 38Very nice!
5 minute walk to French Qtr; classy lobby; big rooms; able to check in early; only our second time staying in New Orleans and the first time was awful (different hotel). This one was great.

Trip Type: Family Review 9 of 38A Touch Of New Orleans Elegance
Though we have traveled extensively both here and abroad, this was our first trip to New Orleans and Le Pavillon was truly the way to go! This beautiful and gracious hotel, only a few short blocks from the French Quarter, was not only convenient but representative of the best of Southern hospitality. Our experience was complete: elegant lobby, bar and dining areas: beautifully decorated rooms; private rooftop patio and pool; a great staff, expecially Grace, our bartender, who filled us with dining suggestions and knowledge of the town as only a local can. Le Pavillon treated us to the true New Orleans experience - and we can't wait to go back!

Trip Type: Family Review 10 of 38Wonderful Friendly Service
I stayed there with my Mother from May 7th to May 9th. The hotel is breath taking upon entry. All you’d expect from a historic hotel in New Orleans. The staff, from the valet attendant, the door man, the check in staff, bellmen … every one was so friendly and attentive. We were in a “standard” room that was nicer then most in new hotels. High ceiling with ceiling fans, well appointed bath room, huge closet. We were very pleased and would surly stay here again.

Trip Type: Family Review 12 of 38Elegant but down to earth
We love Le Pavillon! It is our favorite hotel in New Orleans and we've stayed in plenty of them. The hotel has an elegant feel with a real Southern twist. The staff is so warm and inviting--and children feel so welcome there. And we race back every night for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and hot cocoa and milk, in the lobby from 10-11. Such a treat, and a heart-warming story to go with it!

Trip Type: Family Review 13 of 38Decent, but could be better maintained
Staff was pleasant and accommodating. We stayed on the 6th floor and the hallway had a musty, unpleasant smell...fortunately it did not permeate into our room. Room needed some updating...had a bit of a weathered look, pealing paint, toilet tissue holder falls out of the wall, and dirty exterior windows...but is was clean and acceptable. We only had breakfast in the hotel restaurant. It was above average, but not excellent. Front desk was backedup a number of times...not enough staff. Also had to wait a few minutes for the Concierge because they were doing double duty checking in guests.

Trip Type: Family Review 15 of 38Elegent Hotel with a lot of History
The hotel is truly a lovely place and a wonderful experience. We liked everything about the elegant surroundings. The staff was always polite, helpful, and pleasant. Lots of Southern charm. The only drawback was the prices in the dining room. Breakfast for two was easily $40 or more, with the Sunday Brunch priced at $38 a person. By asking the doorman we found nearby places with better prices for a simple meal like breakfast. We enjoyed New Orleans and might stay at Le Pavillon again but we would plan our meals elsewhere.
