POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE @ a Wonderful hotel

The hotel is right on the beach and is very clean. We checked in on a Thurs night and asked for help with our bags. There were no dollys around or I would have done it myslef. We waited for 15 minutes and just decided to carry our own bags up, and large cooler. Upon entering the room we were pleased as it was a beautiful 2 br suite. However I did not like the huge pillows and called the front desk to ask for a flat pillow and was told they would send it up. It never came. Second day called front desk to report curtains in our room would not close and told that maint. would fix. They never did. Requested more cream and coffee for our room of 4 adults and 1 teen and never rcv'd. But the thing that takes the cake is there was no maid service our 2nd day and we could not get the hotel to even bring us toliet tissue as we went to the grocery store and bought our own. To top things off, we found out why maint could not come to our room. When I was in the pool with my teen daughter she was playing with a float and the maint. guy rudly said she could not have that float in that pool. We gave it to him. NO ONE else was even in the pool area b/c this is the off season. We also asked for a comp. upgrade since the hotel was all but empty and was rudly told that was only possilbe with an upcharge. If you want a clean hotel right on the beach this is it, but DO NOT expect quality cust. service and dont forget to pack your own coffee, cream, and toliet tissue.

Great Hotel!

I thought the hotel was GREAT. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable, and the service was great. The price was very reasonable.

Brand new only a year old

Great hotel for the grand strand. I have been going to this area for 15 years and always stay at the newer or recently remodeled hotels simply because of the wear and tear that is done at the beach. This hotel took it a step further and provides the guest with good quality furnishings and kitchen amenities. Its nice to have a kitchen at the beach but even nicer to have good quality utensils, glasswear and pot and pans. Not the fifty cent junk most hotels offer. The staff was nice just a little green and under trained.

Why stay anywhere else in MB?

Great room, great service, convenient location, good nights sleep, what else could a business traveler ask?

Wonderful new hotel

New - beautiful suites right on ocean. Granite counter-tops, full kitchen with cherry cabinets; very upscale, lovely section of Myrtle Beach, few blocks from Convention Center.

Great Rooms & views.

The room we stayed in was larger than expected with more amenities than usual. The view was great and it was quiet. The fan in the bathroom was way too loud to use and the bed is firm.

Absolutely Amazing Right On The Beach! Awesome Staff!

Amazing does not even being to sum it up. The Anderson Ocean Club was just opened 9 months ago and is in pristine condition. I could live her full time. It felt like home having a washer and dryer and full kitchen. Incredible walk out balcony and ocean view. You are right on the ocean and can walk the beach any time day or night. The staff were amazing and very helpful. I would definately recommend this place to all my friends and family as a matter of fact I already have. Very family oriented and adult quite at the same time. Within walking distance to great food and drinks.

Good Value!

Rented this room on a whim to "go to the beach for the weekend." Read the reviews on Hotels.com and found the Anderson was rated higher than it's competition for the money. After staying this weekend, I now know why! Great room, really good service, right on the beach, and a very nice staff. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Outstanding Hotel

Nice Location. Convenient. Prices increase (triple) during certain holidays. Well worth the price but not during Memorial Day weekend.
