Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 56Needs Improvement
This hotel had some very good attributes and several really bad points. However, the few bad points overwhelmed the good points and I cannot in good conscience recommend this hotel. The Good: -Great location. -Reasonable price. -The kitchen was quite satisfactory. -Most employees were very pleasant and eager to provide good service, specifically the bellmen, parking valets and several of the front desk people. -The bathroom was well-appointed. -Maid service was good. --The bed was comfortable. The Bad: -The recently installed (presumably) flat screen TV in the bedroom had 6 feet of cord dangling across the wall back to the point where the previous TV had been attached near the corner. The wall where the previous TV had been mounted had not yet been repaired and unsightly holes and bare patches had not yet been repaired. I believe that it is really bad form to put guests into rooms in this condition before the work is completed. Our first room had this situation, so I asked if I could be moved to a room that wasn't under construction. The second room was in the exact same condition. The manager told me that "burying" the wires in the wall was a 3 to 4 day process. -The carpeting in the halls is in very, very poor condition with tattered edges and huge bumps and wrinkles. It gives the hotel a really grungy feeling. -I dropped the rubber cover to my iPhone in the lobby around 7:00pm one evening as we were returning from a day trip. At 11:00am the next morning I inquired at the front desk. With a straight face and no apologies or regret the woman at the front desk said that they had found it, but had already thrown it away. Otherwise, she was good. -Another young woman working at the front desk was terrible. During our seven-day stay she never once smiled or acted pleasant to us. My eleven year old daughter said to me in the elevator after our first interaction with her, "That woman is mean." -The window treatment in the bedroom sits about 5-6 inches from the wall. Th

Trip Type: Family Review 2 of 56Great location, wonderful room
The suite was spacious, beautifully decorated and clean. The bed & everything about it was comfortable and well supplied. The staff was very helpful. The location couldn't have been better since we were going into Georgetown to shop & dine and also to the museums. It was a quick, lovely walk to Georgetown, the metro is just across the circle so we could go anywhere easily. It was a very well lit safe area even late at night, coffee shops and restaurants nearby & good restaurant on site. We'll stay there again as the value exceeeds the comfort & convenience. Have already recommended it!

Trip Type: Family Review 3 of 56Great room for the money
Room is very spacious, love having the balcony and kitchen. Just think there should be chairs in both areas though for sitting. Bathroom is very spacious too, would have like a bench there for lounging too.

Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 56Great for the money
I like the hotel location and the trader Joe not too far from the Hotel. Staff was very nice and accomodating to us. My rooms was only one bed full size when I requested double bed but they did accomodate me by bringing an extra bed for $20. I did not like the fact that they close the pool so early 8pm. the kids can harly get there on time to swim. overall, I was satisfy with my stay and I will stay there again id I have too.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 56Convenient location, nice amenities
We stayed 2 nights in the hotel with our children 4 & 6. I thought for the money the hotel was a great value. Our suite was clean, nicely furnished, and had a lot of extra space, including 2 large closets. The staff was friendly & helpful. They directed us to a grocery store nearby to pick up milk & bread for the kitchen and to a low key, inexpensive pub where we could have pizza with our kids. They made our valet parked car available whenever we needed access to it. I didn't have a problem with the parking fee since the car was safe & dry under the building. You don't want to have to try to find parking in DC. We also found the location to be convenient since we used the Metro two blocks away to get to everything we wanted to see. If you want to go to the Mall or Georgetown I would suggest public transportation since you'll do a lot of walking once you reach your destination. We had a few minor criticisms, but nothing that would stop us from recommending the hotel or staying there again. We did hear some sirens during the night since the hotel is across the circle from an emergency room. The air conditioner was a little noisy. The kitchen was bland & the kitchen lighting dim. Some art or pictures in the kitchen would help brighten it up. Also, a chair or two on the balcony would be nice.

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 56Nice hotel, great location
The hotel room was nice, spacious with great kitchen area. The location was great, we walked everywhere (White House, Lincoln Monument, museums, Georgetown). Also, there is a bus that will take you in front of the National Washington Cathedral. You can even print your boarding passes in the hotel lobby. The only thing that bothered me was the bed sheet. It was wrinkled and did not seem fresh. However, I would definitely stay in this hotel again (and would probably bring my sheets).

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 56Good for the Price
Everything about this hotel was great. It was spacious and roomy. The bathroom was huge and the kitchen was handy. The location was great. It is about 3 minute walk to the metro station and a 20 minute walk to the White House area. Any food service got charged but we could buy our own food and bring it to the hotel. The only problem I had with this hotel was the internet. It was TV internet and was not up to date and we had to pay 10 dollars for it. However, they didn't charge us because they knew it wouldn't work.

Trip Type: Family Review 8 of 56Great location
On the positive side, the hotel had a great location, well within walking distance to attractions, restaurants, etc. and a Metro station. The room was clean but we had to call down several times to get enough towels, toilet tissue and other supplies that you would normally assume would be replaced. My biggest complaint is that a "standard suite" would imply a place to sleep and some sort of living room to sit and relax, but this was really just a standard hotel room with a small kitchen. The "balcony" had no chairs and just overlooked the street. I guess I just bought in to the pictures on their website and was somewhat disappointed with the ammenities. There were other suite-type hotels nearby, so I'll probably try them next time.

Trip Type: Family Review 11 of 56execellent hotel.
our family (2 adults and 2 children) really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. 1. Very good location, we walked to White House, George Town. Subway is just one block away. 2. Very clean room, hotel staffs are helpful and nice. 3. The suite has a kitchin with all the thing you need if you want to cook just like you are at home. negative points 1. During our stay, it was really hot. we were really hot after came back, but the water in the pool was too cold even in hot weather. 2. bathroom was really small, barely at size of 2 standard bath tubs putting together. Don't know why since the whole suite was quite big.

Trip Type: Family Review 12 of 56Do you like ambulance sirens?
I never have posted a review before, but feel I need to for this one. We stayed July 4, 2009. The hotel is tattered and right next to the GW Medical Center. All night just as we fell asleep, we were awakened by ambulance sirens, when the air conditioner unit wasn't slamming on - my husband said the air conditioner sounded like someone was throwing a golf ball onto the wall. I won't stay there again. I would have paid extra to another hotel just to not have the sirens and the golf ball all night.

Trip Type: Family Review 15 of 56Nice staff
Great location, really nice staff. They allowed us to drop off our bags early, and kept our bags for us after we checked out. There's free computer and printer access in the lobby to print boarding passes. Our room came with a kitchen, and Trader Joes is just a couple blocks away to buy groceries.
