hotel was pretty dirty. We stayed there for a week, and they did not change the lines. for all whole week.

Trip Type: Business Review 2 of 16I sure exceeded my expectations based on comments!
There was absolutely nothing wrong with this hotel. Consider in a Japanese or Euro Style hotel in a big city ... or somethin'. The rooms were small but perfik' for me OR a honeymoon couple or other couple ... who get along. My room had an oceanfront view, a microwave, a med. fridge, and comfortable standard sized bed. The tub was actually larger than most Waikiki hotel tubs. Room was very adequate. Staff was hardworking and helpful and friendly. Location could not be much better. I like this hotel and will come back!

Trip Type: Business Review 3 of 16Okay for the cost
I would rate this hotel just barely okay. I'd stay there again if I needed an inexpensive place in Waikiki again, but would not tarnish my reputation by recommending it to friends. The location is good and the front desk staff did a fine job but the physical condition of this property leavea a lot to be desired. It leaves the impression of deferred maintenance and cost cutting measures by tight-wad owners. BTW,the wireless computer access only works in certain rooms so if this is important to you, be sure to mention it when you check in. We had to change rooms to access email.

Trip Type: Business Review 4 of 16Great location for the money
Don't choose this property if you are out to make a big impression. On the other hand if you want a basic room, in a great location in Waikiki then consider this property.

Trip Type: Business Review 6 of 16Great location, great price
This was the cheapest hotel in Honolulu but ended up being well worth the price. The place had been renovated and there were some amaneties that I didn't expect in such a budget hotel ... hair dryer, nice fridge, tv, ironing board and iron, free WI-FI in the entire hotel, etc. It is in an excellent part of Waikiki, just two short blocks up from the beach and lots and lots of great eating places and grocery stores within 3-5 min walk. I would recomment this hotel.

Trip Type: Business Review 8 of 16Outstanding Staff
I was on a tight budget which the Aqua Continental met... and the staff members were VERY cordial and helpful. I was surprised that some of the needed "fixables" had been painted over (literally), but I found the experience overall good because of the staff and the budget. I also had a kitchette in my room which would have been nice to know about in my planning... nice surprise theough! I didn't have the time to check out teh spa or the pool features, but next time I will. All was clean and welcoming.

Trip Type: Business Review 9 of 16i would not stay there if it was the last hotel on earth
as soon as you walked into the room the bed was right there, the room had smell like mold and mildew the parking was a nightmare the top of my rental car had scraps i would never stay there if my life depended on it i would have better chances staying on the beach and smelling the fresh air

Trip Type: Business Review 12 of 16Excellent for the price
Great location, close to everything. Couldn't have asked for a better deal. Small rooms, but perfect for a business traveler looking to save money.

Trip Type: Business Review 14 of 16Small but Comfortable
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel with a room on the 18th floor. Walls are a bit thin so you may hear neigbors, nevertheless, it did not bother me much. No breakfast, lunch or dinner, however, we would not have wanted food in the hotel anyway. Location is excellent, near everything. We actually walked to places of interest everywhere from Convention Center to Diamond Head Mountain.
