Trip Type: Romance Review 1 of 137beautiful hotel
The room was gorgious... Very clean and spacious..The only real complaint that i have is in regaurd to the bed...Not very comfortable, the sheets were scratchy, overly starched or something...I kinda wished for my bed. Something that i didnt expect for the price of the room.I was really hoping for a bed that you dont want to get out of, and i definatly didnt have that feeling

Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 137Wonderful time
My partner and I stayed here for my birthday this past weekend and had an Imperial Club Room on the 23rd floor. Our view was facing westward, which was ok since we live in the city, it was cool to see it from above. The room was nicely appointed, liked that it had a stereo system which is a rarity in hotel rooms. Bathroom was really cool with the built in TV to the mirror, modern decor. The Club Lounge was great. Evening reception with really great wine and beer, cheese, etc. The views from the Club Lounge were awesome. They even have a continental breakfast there in the AM. HINT: Ask the attendant to make you a Latte....super yum. And the best part, well at least for us...was the hotel was extremely LGBTQ friendly. From the treatment of their guests, to the shows they book in their lounge (Suzanne Westenhoefer, Gay Radio show...etc). We never felt uncomfortable. We will recommend the Hotel Nikko to visiting friends and family :)

Trip Type: Romance Review 4 of 137Nice Stay
Nikko Floor room was smaller than expected. But the view and hotel amenities were terrific. Too bad that the in-room TV did not have access to local cable system or have a DVD player to go along with the Tuner/CD player. Internet access was terrific. Bathroom and related amenities were terrific. Thanks !

Trip Type: Romance Review 5 of 137Needs Improvement
The hotel has great security during the night. You need to use your key card in order to get it. The bad part of it was that you have to pay 45 dollars a night for parking. Considering the amount of money that you are paying to stay there the parking should be free. I rented 2 rooms, and in one of the room the rug had a lot of stains on them. The view is not that great at all.

Trip Type: Romance Review 6 of 137Good Value, but a couple of areas for improvement
We booked into Hotel Nikko during one of their sales on Hotel.com. As this reduced our price by 40%, we felt we received good value. However, the room lacked an easy chair or similar for sitting and reading or watching TV. 1 side of the bathroom mirror vanity lights wasn't working, but we didn't call for maintenance as we were only staying overnight. The hotel is very convenient to many areas of downtown SF.

The stay at the Nikko was absolutely fabulous. It was my 12th anniversary and we really enjoyed all the hotel had to offer.

Trip Type: Romance Review 9 of 137Centrally located to everything
Excellent location near, shops, transportation, fisherman's wharf, little italy, chinatown, etc. Great price for its location and the fact that it is in the heart of big city San Francisco. (Wouldn't find that value in New York City) Would stay there again!

Trip Type: Romance Review 12 of 137Great Hotel, pets OK
We took our Boston Terrier with us and it was no problem at all. The staff was very friendly to him. They also provided a small extra in-room refrigerator for us at no charge! It was our second stay at the Nikko and we'll definitely come back again!

Trip Type: Romance Review 14 of 137Expensive bu really posh . . .
Stayed here before and loved it then too. I actually toughout about it between the three years since I last stayed here. They will nickel and dime you to death (especially with parking-park in the structure diagonally.) Lots of bums nearby, but what do you expect in SFO? Do not wander west at night. Other than a few flaws which are the fault of the city (ahem, Mayor Newsom, are you listening?), the hotel is awesome, with the fastest, quietest and smoothest eleveators out side of Tokyo.

Trip Type: Romance Review 15 of 137Peaceful and Serene
We visit Hotel Nikko every year on our anniversary and we have never been disappointed. The rooms are extremely clean, the bedding sumptuous, and the interior well designed. It definitely earns its 4-star rating - service is professional and helpful, interior is very clean and beautifully decorated in a simple Asian style, and the amenities are fantastic. We most enjoyed the swimming pool/workout area. It is an enclosed rooftop lap pool and spa, but the roof is all glass so you still feel like you are outside. There is outdoor patio seating, but indoors was lovely - no worries about outside noise or temperature fluctuations. And, on a clear night, you could star gaze from the pool area as it is open until 10pm. Location to eateries, shopping, etc. is fantastic, too. We will continue to stay at Hotel Nikko whenever we're in the City.
