Trip Type: Special Event Review 1 of 133Poor Service
Our room was not ready on time with my 20 month old having traveled for 9 hours, yet we were asked if we wanted to upgrade to a higher floor. when we called the concierge, the phone rang at least 25 times and was on hold for over 4 minutes. there were no bath products in the shower upon checkout, I was not thanked or asked about my experience.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 4 of 133Parking Way Too Expensive
It costs over $50 to park overnight in the hotel. Typical for S.F., but still a rip-off.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 6 of 133average room and hotel for the $$$
nice clean hotel with good service however i was disappointed with the size of the room. it was tiny and with the california king size bed there was hardly any room to move. If i was out most of the time the size would not have been an issue but since i spent a lot of time in the room it felt a bit claustrophobic. I think the pictures displayed on the hotel and hotels.com website were misleading. If we did not get the savings through hotels.com i would definitely have considered this hotel a rip off. Nothing that exciting to write home about I'm afraid.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 7 of 133Contemporary styling, great service.
Clean, contemporary rooms. Large baths with standing tub were the highlight of the over-sized, bright room. The linens were supple. We loved the hotel.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 9 of 133Great hotel, small room
We're sure that other rooms were larger than ours. It appears that certain rooms are reserved for "low budget" clients and apparently Hotels.com is considered one of them. Fine for one night, but tight quarters.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 11 of 133Mostly Good Experience
But it was disappointing to find out that, in addition to the room rate and $45 for parking, the hotel also charges $15 per day for in-room internet use. Aren't we at a point in technology where the internet is ubiquitous, we can't do without it, and having access in a hotel room is an expected amenity? Why charge extra? It makes it feel like you are being "nickel-and-dimed" for everything. Otherwise, this was a very nice hotel.
Hotel Response
Thank you for the great review! For a small fee, our customers can upgrade to the Nikko Floor where the internet is complimentary and the breakfast is free!

Trip Type: Special Event Review 12 of 133Great Hotel
We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Nikko. The rooms were modern with very comfortable beds. The only negative I have to say is that the walls were a little dirty with random scraps and markings across them. Other than the walls everything was good. The bathroom was a good size and appeared to clean.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 13 of 1334-Stars?
The lobby was great with marble everywhere, but the room (outside of the flat-screen) was pure Holiday Inn. Stained carpets, a closet door that was off its rollers, chipped furniture, dirty windows and some insect(s) crawling on the baseboard. The hotel from the outside is 4-star; the room was 2+.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 14 of 133Nikko cool decor; Dirty Room
Our family arrived at midnight so i can understand the fact that the night clerk wouldn't be on his "game" but this guy was less than helpful and was very lazy. This hotel is not in the best part of town as we observed police officers right outside the hotel arrest someone. Although the location was a block or so from Powell St where we could pick up the trolley, it wasn't a safe area for us. The room was the most disappointment of our trip. The carpets were stained and left us feeling very uncomfortable. If the hotel were to keep up their rooms it would warrant a 4 star rating, but I would definitely rate it a 3 star at best! Nikko needs to get it together and clean up the place!!! So disgusting!

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 15 of 133Great Hotel, but we had to wait an hour and a half for our room to be ready.
The staff was good, just not enough for the holiday weekend. Had to wait in line for a while to check in and our room wasn't ready. Park at the Mason garage it's $29.00 compared to the hotels $52.00. The imperial floors upgrade was worth it. Wine and cheese in the early eve. and breakfast buffet in the am. Be careful which staircase you take because we got locked in the stairwell. The staff was polite. The rooms were nice and had great views (imperial level)
