River Park Hotel & Suites

no recommendation

although the hotel is situated downtown and neighboured to the Miami Metromover I don't recommend the hotel. The rooms are clean (except the windows). The bar is closed so beverages are only available at vending machines. The front desk has no dollar bills for the vending machines. Valet parking (25$ per night) can only paid with cash, but not at front desk.

Scooby Doo Hotel

It is a very interesting place. It used to be a very expensive resort that was converted into a cheap hotel. That mean that the fancy decorations (along with the rugs) are worn out. The lobby is full of sculptures of lions, a fat lady, etc. It seems to be haunted. The rooms are clean and the hotel employees are nice. The morning of the check-out, the cleaning ladies walk into the room (shortly after knocking) to see when are we going to leave. Make sure you lock the door with the secondary lock. Everybody is forced to pay an extra $2/night because they have a security box. Most people get angry at that because is not mentioned on the hotel information. The location is OK. It is right in front of the "People Mover" (a free rail within downtown Miami). There are good restaurants in the area. However, the sidewalks in the area are not necessarily safe. The larger rooms are much nicer than the smaller ones. It is worth paying a little bit more. Every room is different, and has different furniture. Some rooms have rusted fridges that doesn't work. There is a gym hiding on the 3rd floor. It only has a stationary bike, a treadmill and a step climber that doesn't work.

No parking space

everything is ok, but I did not like the fact that you have to pay 25 dollars everyday for parking space

shitty room maintenance (bathroom sink was clogged when we got there. breakfast was a joke they gave u one cup of orange juice and two pieces of bread lol. other than that i liked it there.

"Convenient Stay"

It was very convienet to downtown where all the shopps was. Parking Is not good at all , but the over all stay was pretty much what I expected.

RIVER REVIEW

HOTEL IS A GREAT LOCATION TO GO SEE THE MIAMI HEAT CAN AND GREAT COMMUTE TO SOUTH BEACH. THE ONLY THING THAT I DISLIKED WAS THAT THERE WASNT ENOUGH TOWELS FOR THE ROOM WHEN NEENED.. THE STAFF VERY NICE AND HELPFUL

Great location near MetroMover

Our suite was large and clean, comfortable bed. Furniture a little outdated but adequate. Hotel was convenient to downtown events. Only complaint was continental breakfast of one cold muffin, small coffee, doled out by one person,long line and one-hour serving limit.

If you need cheap room downtown...

If you need a cheap room in downtown Miami, and can't find anywhere else, then I guess this place is cool. I went down for the Orange Bowl and there were several other Orange Bowlers staying there and they reported have over $600 cash stolen from their room by housekeeping daily cleaning.

its ok

The greatest thing about the hotel is its being convenient. it is right by the trolley stop and highway 95, 15 minutes to sout beach with car. the pool was really small, and couple problems with the bathroom ( water pressure)

Needs improvement, even for that price

The hotel has the potential to be a real gem within the Miami downtown area. The entire hotel however smells of cigarets and therefore was not very pleasant to me, a non-smoker. If properly cleaned, and fumigated, it would be a good seller.
