Patricia Grand Resort Hotel

Great location but needs improvement

This was my second time staying at Patricia Grand. I love the location--very convenient to Broadway at the Beach and Beach Bumz, a favorite hangout. However, the beds were HARD (requested multiple blankets to soften the mattress). The room was not well cleaned (carpet dirty and "items" on the floor under the bed covers, etc.) I do like the ammenities (pools, sauna, outside hot tub). Front desk people were very nice and helpful. Housekeeping was not quick in responding to requests. If the beds were softer and the hotel a bit cleaner, I would stay there again.

Good location but needs improvement

The hotel was centrally located. However there were holes around the outlets and cracks in the walls. We stayed on the 18th floor. Great views, but it tok 15 minutes for hot water. Would not reccommend.

Great for the money!

Stayed at the hotel for a long weekend and was apprehensive due to all the negative reviews of the hotel. The hotel was clean but slighty "outdated." The staff was very nice and helpful. Located 1 mile from Broadway at the Beach which was fabulous. I would definately stay there again. :)

Ok

The hotel pool was not heated although they said it was. Not a bad place to stay but not happy with the cold pool.

Great Deal

Considering the amount i paid for this beachfront resort, it would be hard to find a better deal anywhere.

ok but dated

The amenties are nice. Large pool with 4 hot tubs and a good breakfast buffet. Location was great. We weren't happy with the condition of the room considering the price we paid. The beds were really uncomfortable and the room was really dated and small. Also we had to use the bellhop service since they didn't provide carts for your own use. We booked an oceanfront room and our room wasn't directly OF but more of an angle. You still had a good view but once again considering the price we paid that was kind of disappointing along with the small balcony. I don't recommend this hotel until they lower the price.

loved it

the hotel was in a great location, the heart of mrytle beach near the strip. 27th street to be exact. the lazy river, 2 pools, like 4 or 5 hot tub were great. hotel staff was nice, gave us TONS of towels!! id deffinatly recommend it.

Good for a weekend, not much longer.

The hotel was nice, the view from the room was awesome. At the same time however it was dated, my room and the room beside it ( we got two rooms) needed painting bad. The walls look like a smokers house who needs to repaint their white walls. That weird yellow color that the smoke leaves. The room smelled clean and the sheets were the cleanest of any hotel I stayed at in that price range. I believe that with a new coat of paint, maybe even some new carpet, and a nice couch and seat that hotel could easily pass 4 stars. I will probably spend another weekend there, but if I'm gonna stay any longer I would find somewhere else.

Great experience at this hotel

I had an overall great experience staying in this hotel. The hotel was very busy during our stay but it didn't keep any of the staff from being very friendly and helpful. I can only think of a coulple of improvements. The first would be the elevators - they were very slow. And either the stairs weren't clearly labeled or they were all fire escapes, otherwise I wouldn't been more than happy to walk them instead of waiting for the elevator. The second being the parking. I don't remember reading anywhere that parking was across the street, so it was kind of a hassle anytime we needed to go somewhere but, all in all it was a great room for the price and I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great location, and room for the money

Hotel could stand some upgrades in rooms. We loved the Ocean view and the staff was very helpful and polite. I would stay there again.

Do NOT Stay Here!

Everyone, from the cleaning staff to the guys up front that help you with your luggage were very RUDE! I don't know if it was because they were busy or because they just don't know how to handle customer service, but I would not recommend staying there if you expect the staff to be friendly! AND, when we got back from the beach, the cleaning staff had been smoking on our balcony and had cigeratte ashes everywhere! When they made up the bed, they just pulled the blankets up, very messy looking! There are so many hotels in Myrtle Beach, it is worth looking for another hotel. DO NOT stay here!

Fair Price

The hotel is a nice hotel, it could use some updating- which would make it more applealing, some more ice machines - so it wouldn't take the elevators so long, if you stood and watched - the elevator was either on the 2 - 4 - or 17th floor ICE. Loved the pool - ocean set up. Linens were scares.. both front desk was very nice..
