customer service needs improvement

hotel was ok for the money. almost all rooms have limited ocean view.you just able to look straight in front of you. balconies are not private at all.you always can see people on your left,right and down and they can see you .because hotel is build in a V shape.if you are in a middle of V,you will be visible to everybody .front desk people need to wake up and do their job.but one girl was helpful,name Amy.when i asked to talk to manager,instead of manager coming out i was told to go in and manager was sitting in a chair in her office,but there was no other chair.so I had to talk to her standing,while she was sitting. I think it is very rude and disrespectful. parking is something else .garage is so narrow that walls in it have scraps of all colors.if you are not good driver and have hard time parking in tight spots,this place is not for you.but over all we had good time there.good location,swimming pool,lazy river,hot tubs were fun.room cleaned every day.

Great room and location!

This hotel exceeded my expectations, especially after reading some of the negative reviews on this site. For the price I paid, I would have been happy with a clean room and air conditioning, but it was a great room with a great view, very large and comfortable, with a new flat screen TV. Kitchen was a little dated, but I hear they are working on that. There were NO problems with the elevators and our room was clean. We did not get a chance to eat in the restaurant, there were just too many choices elsewhere. The pools were lots of fun and being on the beach is the only way to go on a beach vacation. The parking garage is VERY tight for larger vehicles, but I had no problem in my mid size SUV, you just have to be careful and take your time on the ramps, and use your mirrors. People who know how to control their vehicle's dimensions will not have a probelm. If you park your car in parking spaces crooked, the you'll probably leave paint on the wall. I had no problem. Check in and check out was quick and easy, and I enjoyed the free WiFi. I would stay here again.

Nice getaway

The hotel was okay. They did have a sign up that they were making changes and updating their hotel. It is an older hotel so parts of it were worn and crumbly. Fair warning to those who want to enjoy themselves, the consierge will give you a free bag of goodies but will start into a talk about giving you free tickets to shows if you go and listen to this 90 minute spiel. It is all about time shares all over the area. Every place we went wanted to give you free tickets to show if you go.

Old- outdated.. I reserved a king room.. They told me they did not have, unless I wanted to pay an additional fee.. Disappointed..

Let me start out by saying that these so-called resort facilities are nothing but traps to nickle and dime you to death.User fees,phone fees,in room safe fees,user taxes.No thanks.I will stay elsewhere next time. If you enjoy waiting forever for elevators,you will love this place.Also,the parking garage is somewhat of a nightmare.If you enjoy narrow parking spaces and a narrow area to drive through ascending from one level to the next,this is the place for you.You feel as though you are going to scrape the sides of your vehicle as you go from floor to floor trying to find a narrow space that is empty.Enjoy.

Needs Improvement

When we arrived our air conditioner did not work and the commode was leaking out all over the floor. We had to call downstairs immediately and get them to make repairs. They had to put in a completely new air conditioner. Also, one of the elevators was broken. We could only use one side of it a whole day. It made a loud noise and scared everyone to death and stayed on one floor. When we got ready to check out, we decided to go get a cart and carry our own luggage down. My grandson went down to get one and they wouldn't tell him where they were and wouldn't let him use one. I complained and they said it was hotel policy that they couldn't let us use the luggae carrier ourselves. Other than that things were just okay. The maids were very nice and the maintenance men also. I think the hotel is just old and needs a lot of repairs.

satisfiedguest

i was satisfied wirth our room it was a little more exspensive than last year. One complaint i had was that the stove didn't work very well and the pan that was in our room was bent and we couldn't even use it.

Great for the Price -Very Satisfied!

I was very anxious about staying here after reading some other reviews but I'm glad we did. We had a great ocean view and room service came everyday with towels. The pool was great and the beach was right off the poolside. It is nothing fancy and the decor is old. The hallways look shabby but overall we had a great stay and also got a great deal. We had no problem with the parking lot either. We got to the hotel early and our room was ready at 12 noon which was great after a 12 hour drive there. I would stay again.
