Roach Motel, Ok for the price...

Basically, the hotels in the same area are at least double the money. This one needs serious improvement. I felt afraid to get under the covers in the bed, and was reluctant to take a shower. Would definitely suggest paying more for a nicer place.

Fairly Priced Rooms

THe hotel staff was very nice and check in was quick. There was no help with bags but parking was close to my room and elevators. The pool area was very dirty. Ripped up coke cans, puddles of sitting water and garabage around pool area. There were clean towels available outside by pool which was very nice. Hotel was quite, in a safe neighborhood and fairly priced. My husband and I stayed there while our hiome was being renovated and it was worth what we paid. We checked out early because our home was finished ahead of schedule and the hotel was very quick with refunding our money and we only paid a small fee for checking out early. Over all good experience.

OK For What You Pay

Need some help at the front desk. I checked out. There was no one there. Rooms are shabby. Place needs an upgrade. Great restaurant and lounge.

Needs Improvement

The Hotel lobby is nice as well as the bars, however hotel hallways can use some upgrading as well as gym.

Bad Idea

Would not recommend for families with children. This hotel is next to a "gentleman's club" which caught me by surprise. I was not happy with my stay at all.

Overall...

The room I was in was VERY hot. I had the air on the whole time I was down and it seemed to not get colder not one degree. The staff was friendly, except for check in time. If you get the chance, try the bar/rest at the hotel called the Green Iguana; they were VERY good! I would stay there again for the price and location, overall I was pleased!

Sad Situation

I have never had a bad experience with hotels. Com until this. This place is simply stated... Trash. It put forth a good front on the web, but believe me, it's not. It is old, decrepid, just bad!!! The service was bad! HERE ME, don't stay here unless there is no other place left on earth!

Good Hotel

This hotel was located off of a major Interstate so it was easy to find. The exterior of the hotel is okay. It's an old Best Western though but lobby area is upgraded. Hotel includes two decent restaurants inside (sushi and bar food, respectively). The rooms are decent. Staff was friendly enough. Usually, I have a hard time finding a place to stay in Tampa that isn't in a bad area. This hotel seemed to be in a decent area, near downtown. Overall, a I had a nice stay and would be willing to stay here again.
