Yes the hotel is in the city, but the trash collection at 4AM was a bit loud from the 6th floor. Try to get a room that does not face East.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It has a wonderful, Pan-Asian restaurant. The food was good and the decor of the restaurant was just beautiful. The decor of the entire hotel was very nice.

The room we stayed in at The Paramount was really nice. The king size bed was so comfy & I want that bathroom in my own house! I loved the little rubber ducky they leave in the tub for you. Overall, very comfortable & welcoming.

The hotel room was very nicely decorated and furniture seemed very new. The restaurant had good breakfast food, and we walked to downtown Seattle tourist attractions. The $27/day parking fee (plus tax made it about $32) is too much, but what can you do about that?

The location was perfect for us, just at the end of the main part of Westlake Center - close enough, but just out of the main stream of people. Clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay there again. The only smudge on their perfect record was when the desk clerk gave us keys to an occupied room. Hmmm.

My wife and I really enjoyed staying at The Paramount. It benefits from the fact that it is relatively new so there are no "rough edges." Furthermore, the interior decoration was absoultely delightful - asthetically pleasing photographs and paintings that were tastefully subdued, not overly flamboyant. We found the staff to be quite friendly and helpful as well. In terms of location, if you want a hotel that is reasonably priced and not too far from Pike Place Market (6 blocks or so), this is the ticket. The only criticism is that only valet parking is available. The valet service was fine and the price reasonable, but we do wish we could have had easier access to our car while we were at the hotel.

We were very pleased with both the hotel and the staff. The staff went above and beyond, and were extremely friendly. The Dragonfish restaurant is fantastic.

The overall stay was good. The only thing I would suggest for the hotel is to put ceiling fans in the bathroom. Location is very good, a walk away to many restaurants and shopping.
