Trip Type: Special Event Review 3 of 184Very nice, but not what I expected
The hotel room was very nice, but I wouldn't consider it a suite. In my opinion a suite is a separate sitting area our room was just one large room. And it was a little further from the strip than I thought, but with the shuttle it worked out fine.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 6 of 184Things have changed
In the past few months I have stayed at the rio at least once a month and on prior visits was very happy. This visit things changed the room was not as clean plumping was not working and I could not get the king bed I requested. Ther is a difference between the two queen beds. that room is not as nice.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 7 of 184Showing its age
Positives: (1)the room was as large as advertised on the Rio's virtual tour. We needed the space as we had a couple larger items that would have made a "regular" sized room very cramped; and (2) the location - it's within walking distance of Ceasars and Bellagio if you have comfortable shoes. But better to drive and self-park or catch the shuttle. Negatives: The hotel is showing it's age and is nothing spectacular. The sinks were incredibly stopped up; we called twice and then we stopped at the front desk the next morning and requested they be unclogged again or they'd be moving us to another room. This worked. The furniture is old; no flat screen TV. This wouldn't have been a problem if they had the CRT TV on a swivel on top of the credenza. And the bathroom was a decent size but again old and faded fixtures. (And it was not too appealing to sit in; no choice but to soak one night.) Also, went to the pool and there were no waiters; just a person walking around offering massages. A sign at the entrance prohibits food and drink, which is more than a bit annoying. You don't have waiters in pool area but you will stop me from bringing my own snacks, etc in? I guess they wanted me to walk over to the bar and waste my time there waiting to be served rather than enjoying my limited sun time. Anyway, we got a great rate because we booked a month out, and it got the job done. But next time we are in Vegas, we will spring for a hotel with a few more amenities and better ambiance.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 9 of 184great room for the price
The Rio is an all suites hotel. It exceeded all our expectations. The suite was spacious, comfortable and clean. We highly recommend it.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 10 of 184Worth the money
We really enjoyed our stay at the Rio All Suites Hotel. The food at the Carnival Buffet was excellent the staff was out of this world in every area and the place was clean. Our only real complaint was that our bathroom really could use a remodel. The tiles around the tub looked moldy and the tub itself was no longer white. A new shower head was also needed. I would stay here again.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 13 of 184Not Exactly 4 stars....
The staff was not friendly. During check-in, the staff would call "next" in a monotone voice and would barely look at the customers in the face. Not what I have experienced at Treasure Island, Mirage, and The Venetian. There was a very strong sewer gas smell inside the casino area. The room was large with a very nice view, but the couch had so many stains..., I wouldn't go near it. Good restaurants, nice variety of cuisine.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 14 of 184Good for adults
Not too many things to do with kids. The New York New York hotel is much better for kids. But, the room was very nice and very large, which was great. We didn't get to use the pool too much, but it was great.
