The Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach

Great location!

Very nice we had an ocean front room and it was beautiful. If you want peace and quite you might not like this hotel, because all the noise sometimes travels up even 14 floors up. Otherwise it was great, great location, great food and close to everything!

Not only was this hotel absolutely beautiful and high class it was located right in the heart of Waikiki. Excellent staff !

Would book again

The Outrigger Waikiki is in a great location, the rooms are nice and roomy, with a sink and closet area seperated from the toilet and shower. The beachfront location was perfect for our family traveling with 2 young kids. The beds were a little too soft for our preference.

Outstanding

I was pleased with the location to the beach and shopping. The eatting places were great. There is a great buffet breakfast in the hotel and Dukes restaurant was recommended and enjoyed.

Great location for the money

Right on Waikiki beach. Several good restaurants in the hotel. Room was very comfortable, but it had one of those annoying motion sensors for the AC--turns it off, until you get too hot at night and throw off the covers, then you freeze to death.

The place to be

This hotel had everything. They also had free internet access and you can make calls within the US for FREE!!!!!! Cool!!! Duke's restaurant and bar was downstairs, which is open air on the beach. They had a really good breakfast buffet in the morning and it's really nice in the open air on the beach. Great place. And it's in the middle of everything. International Market place is also right across the street. Great for the shoppers!!!

Very good location, good beach, excellent service, and good restaurants would stay there again.

Mixed review

A few things that were great, and a few that were not. We had 3 small kids (<7 years old). We appreciated the backpack for the kids, and the breakfast buffet at Duke's (pancakes for the kids, made-to-order omlettes for us). But the beach within walking distance was very crowded, and had undertow too strong for our young kids. So being "on the beach" did not mean we spent alot of time there. It does have wonderful views from rooms and both restaurants. Be aware that "Ocean view" is not the same as "Ocean front". With "ocean view" your lanai is at a 45 degree angle to the neighboring hotel & the ocean. Still a nice breeze, and that wonderful ocean sound. Much better than the street side.

Outrigger on the Beach

Overall nice hotel close to nice shopping strip and the beach. The pool is fairly small but then again it is right next beach, so it didn't matter. Beach is nice sand and water gets deeper very gradually, which is nice for younger kids. Room layout was nice with a closet to get the suitcases out of the way. City view room still had an angle where you could see the beach.
