Great Hotel

I have stayed at this hotel twice and really love the location and service. You must eat at Dukes, they have the best drinks and freshest fish, must have. When you are booking your reservation make sure to ask for Reuben. He was such a joy to work with and really went above and beyond expectations to make my hotel stay the best it could possibly be. HOWEVER THERE IS ONE THING YOU MUST NOT DO!!!!! DO NOT GO TO THE SPA! It was the worst Service I have ever seen at a Spa. The Front desk was very rude and did not even greet you when we entered into the spa. They just said SIGN IN.They did not even offer a tour of the facility which is customary of all Spas. After we checked it out ourselves we could see why. The locker room has a portable steam shower, like the one you would purchase in a catalog for your home. It Had GARNIER FRUCTISE SHAMPOO In it, I was Appalled. for The money that you pay I would much rather see shampoo that cost more than $3.00. Across from that was a curtain that I pulled back and it had a huge hole in the wall exposing the pipes. Also, the spa attendant gave me plastic slippers to put on my feet that I could not wear because the plastic was cutting into my feet. Don't let the picture fool you when you got to the deck for the amazing view that is promised, it is blocked by the the huge hotel air conditioning system that gets in the way of what could be a fabulous view. I am a very busy person whom rarely takes time out for myself, and when I do go to the spa and spend that kind of money I expect relaxation and peace, neither of which I received.

I stay here every time I am in HI. Best hotel for the price

Great for the money

Rooms very nice even city view, very clean and remodeled. On Beach, Dukes is great place at night local entertainment every night.

Nice hotel

The hotel is located on the Waikiki beach with great views of the ocean. The room is comfortable. The staffs are friendly. I had nice experience staying there. The only problem is that some people are having parties every night on the street and the noise continues until 2:00 am. So you can't leave the balcony door open when you sleep. It's a shame because the weather is so nice and the air is so fresh outside. Overall, it's a very nice hotel given the location and the rate.

For twentysomethings or young families

We enjoyed out stay at the Outrigger Waikiki Beach based on the location- proximity to both the beach, fun shopping, and restaurants with ocean views. It seems like a perfect place for wedding parties to hang out in expectation of the big event (that wasn't us), or for young professionals/older students (also not us)to relax and cut loose. There were also a number of families with younger children on the beach and behaving well in the restaurants. What Outrigger was not: a place for a quiet, romantic get-away.
