We liked everything about our room except for the worn out bed. The mattress needs replacement to something more firm. The proximity to the town center made for an easy walk. Would like to stay at this hotel again but I would certainly need reassurance that they replaced all those soft, worn out mattresses.

We went to Aspen for a concert...it only took 10 minutes to walk to Harris Hall and 10 to walk to the restaurant and pedestrian mall area..the people at the hotel were friendly, the free breakfast was good, the bed was comfy. Good value for the price. We will go back for sure!

Only a short walk into town. Very friendly service. Our room was downstairs, but for the price it was well worth it.

Says it has parking, but it's limited. So more than likely you will need to park on the street which is a total hassle. Also, check-in is stated to be at 4 pm. Thought we discovered after conversations with other hotel guests, that they were allowed (numerous guests) to check in anywhere from 2 pm on. However, Lyon (I think was his name) wouldn't let us check in until 4 pm and was quite rude about it. Knowing we were going to the Aspen Jazz concert, we were subjected to hang around for 2 hrs+, miss part of the show and go there late since they lock the doors at 11 pm or something and you have to have a key to access the building. Seems like for the size of the lodge and the fact that you have to be out at 11 am, would give ample time to clean rooms, and even those weren't all that clean (hairs in the tub, ewww). The later desk clerk was nice and more accommodating, even though by that time we were already late to the festival. It was not an overall good experience there.

The staff was great and very helpful. Breakfast was more than a continental, but could have used some variation from day to day, the afternoon apri ski snack was very nice and not what you would usually find at other hotels. I would consider this a nice cross between a bed and breakfast and a regular hotel. There were places where you could mingle with other guests or keep to yourselves. We did not rent a car so we depended upon the bus to get us to our ski destination, which the bus stop was very conveniently located within a block, and we walked to town to dinner, which was from 4 blocks to 3/4 mile away.
