Did the Job

We came into town for a quick weekend (Halloween)with kids. Having no expectations other than a bed and shower, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality, convenience and ease of this hotel. Room was clean, available as promised and quiet, given that it was Halloween and there is a bar next door. The breakfast was more than satisfactory and the parking was workable. Really, for the price, we got way more than could be expected

Great Hotel, Lousy Location

I loved the hotel, but the location stinks. We were only there for a quick overnight stay. At 1 in the morning they started collecting garbage! Then in the early morning hours the local drunks started shouting at each other. We didn't get a good night sleep.

Great room for the price

walking distance from bart station. Close to union square. Cool "movie" theme.

needs lotta improvement.

Staying here is dissappointing.. windows broken, faucet not working.. the first night the receptionist was rude to us.... it has great location bt definitely not worth it... you're gonna wake up in the middle of the night hearing noises...

Great location and service for the price

Must admit I was not sure what I would find for the stated price. Was pleasantly surprised, the location just half a block from the Bart station is the best place to stay if you don’t want to rent a car and fly into SFO airport. A single BART train ride takes you to market street which is a 2 minute walk from the hotel. Ideal location if you plan to see the city by foot and cable cars. We loved our stay.

Best Deal in Town!

Being only a short block away from the Powell St. BART station, Union Square, and the historic cable car experience, the Hotel Bijou is in a fantastic location. When we stayed there, Bijou had one of the most inexpensive rates in town, yet we were still welcomed with a staff that went over-and-above for us and a room that exceeded expectaions. The rooms were a bit on the small side, but they were still clean, modern, and comfortable enough for two people on the go. When it came time to check out of our room, my wife and I still wanted to spend some time in the city, and the staff was more than happy to store our luggage in a secure area until we were ready to return for it late in the day.
