Trip Type: Romance Review 1 of 75Clean Hotel, not the best service, but I wouldnt want to pay for a hotel downtown Boston!
The only negative things I would have to say is that 1. the air conditioning was shut off for the season (we were there October 23-25) so our room felt like a sauna. We had to open the windows and turn on the celing fan. Also another negative was that I had a lot of luggage and there is no bellman or even a luggage cart to help. The front desk lady did not offer to help with my luggage either. Other than that- our room was spotless, comfortable bed, right next door to a subway station, and the breakfast was delish. I would stay here again. It is right over the bridge from downtown Boston, and we saved money to be able to go and have great dinners by not staying downtown.

Trip Type: Romance Review 2 of 75Nice Location in Cambridge
I enjoyed my stay at this Hotel. Very close to the subway. Legal Seafood is across the street. The food at the Hotel is also very delicious. You are next to M.I.T. I plan to stay again in the future.

Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 75Oustanding Hotel -- Best Deal for a Boston Stay
This hotel is one of the best ones I ever stay. The staff was super friendly, there was free breakfast (very complete) with free parking (although small some reviewers have exagerated -- I was able to park my 2007 Honda CR-V with no problems). The rooms are very nice, clean and the decor is faboulous. The Red Line subway is literally next door and it takes to Boston in 5 minutes. The hotel is also in a very nice area right next door to MIT.

Trip Type: Romance Review 4 of 75Great Neighborhood, Great Location, Great Breakfast Considering Its Free!
My girlfriend and I stayed here for one night recently for a quick getaway. We went to blueman group the night before and decided it would be nice not to have to go home after (I live about 45 mintues outside of Boston). The thing I liked most about it was its location, literally 2 seconds off of the Kendall Tstop, which is very convienent. There's a legal seafoods and starbucks across the street, and au bon pan is down the street, along with quiznos and 7-11. I know my way around Boston, and while this isn't right on Tremont St. or in Harvard Square, I liked it better because it is a small hotel in a very quiet area, even though it might be a little louder when school is in session since its right in the middle of MIT. The breakfast was pretty good considering it was free. Fruit salad, decent bacon, crappy eggs and coffee, etc.It was better than typical free breakfasts I've seen before. We're planning on coming back to the Kendall for New Years, so how bad can it be right?

Trip Type: Romance Review 5 of 75Great Location
Beautiful, charming hotel. Had room 210 I think and loved every piece of furniture/decorations. Great free breakfast each morning. Rooftop terrace had a wine hour some evenings. Helpful front desk staff. Comfy bed. Loved all the collections/Americana/fireman/dalmatian/patriotic decorations. My husband and I vacationed and saw all the sites of Boston (and Cambridge like Harvard) for 7 days and loved the location of The Kendall. Walk a few steps to the Kendall stop on the metro line. Get the Charlie Ticket 7 day unlimited metro pass - use the Kendall stop on the red line to go right into Boston.

Trip Type: Romance Review 6 of 75Fun place!
We stayed at the Kendall for our 20th anniversary. The staff was wonderful, the food great. We were going to be upgraded to a suite, but there was a mix up - the hotel manager put us in a suite for a future stay and comped our dinner. Above and beyond the call -

Very nice hotel for the price. Hot breakfest included. Wonderful place to stay and nice to be able to support an independent and Historic hotel. Great location!! Will definitely stay there again.

Trip Type: Romance Review 9 of 75An Ideal Travel Experience
From check-in to check-out this place was better than a home away from home. It was luxurious without being stuffy, the staff was helpful without being overbearing. The decor is unique and the whole experience gives one a feeling of being "on the inside" of something sophisticated. I will definitely be staying at the Kendall again.

Trip Type: Romance Review 10 of 75a great place for mature travelers
we arrived early afternoon and were pleased to find that we would not be charged for parking. . we had a 25.oo voucher for food and berverages. The concierge informed us the restaurant would be closed as they were doing a cleaning and he offered a wine list for us to choose from. When we returned from our evening out, wine and a box of choclates were awaiting us. the next morning we went to the restaurant for braakfasr and found that most of the patrons appeared 50t. This led to some intersting conversations and a great sense of commraderie. Alovely hotel, with courteous and attentive staff. We will definitely go back and also recommend it to ur friends.

Trip Type: Romance Review 11 of 75A gem!
This was a great experience. It was like finding a bed and breakfast right in Boston. The people were better than excellent. I stopped in before check-in and they gave me a parking pass right away. The history on the walls was fascinating. The breakfast atmosphere was terrific. The rooms were small, but expected to be that way. They were very clean and comfortable. I spend a few nights a year in Boston as do many of my friends. I'll definitely send them here. Attitude is everything. They were the best!

Trip Type: Romance Review 13 of 75In the Heart of MIT
Comfortable, convienient hotel. Located less than 1 block from the subway station. Only problems I noticed were our odd room layout, the same thing for breakfast everyday, and the surrounding area didn't have many places to eat out.

Trip Type: Romance Review 14 of 75Really good hotel for the money
The hotel is well located, close to the transit and Boston city. The hotel's restaurant is very nice and not too expensive. The breakfast is very good but you need to get it early before the crowd. The only problem is if you don't mind of the noise coming from the room next door. But all the noises stop after 10pm. We had a good time for 4 days, even with a small budget.
