Very nice hotel

We stayed at the Doubletree Arctic Club for two nights at the beginning of October. The hotel itself is very nice. There is a bar in the lobby and a restaurant/bar downstairs. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. They were able to move us from a room with one queen to two queens with no problem. Any requests we made were taken care of quickly. The bed was extremely comfortable and they had two fluffy robes in the room. The lighting was strange. There were no reading lamps between the beds, only on the outer edges of the beds. Our view was mostly of the gigantic construction site next door. We didn't hear any noise from it but it wasn't pretty to look at. The location is okay. We walked to Pike Place Market and there are a lot of coffee shops nearby.

Convenient downtown hotel

Convenient downtown location. Some nearby neighborhood issues, (a park with some homeless folks) but far enough away so that it wasn't a real problem. Short walk to the waterfront district.

OUR STAY

OVERALL THE HOTEL WAS GREAT! ENJOYED THE LOUNGE AND BAR. THE AREA WAS VERY SPACIOUS WITH GREAT MUSIC TOO! THE RESTAURANT WAS NICE AND CLEAN AND THE FOOD WAS VERY GOOD. OUR ROOOM WAS GREAT FOR THE MONEY. THE FRONT DESK AND RESTAURANT STAFF WERE KIND AND HELPFUL AS WELL.

not worth the money

This is an old hotel. Rooms are extreemly small. The location is fair. For the price they charge there are many better options.

Rich Experience

Unfortunately, nobody responded immediately to the night baggage entrance, so we trundled our luggage up steps to get to the check-in. From there on it was a luxurious experience. It reminded me of the men's club you see in the English movies. Second floor room had 12-foot ceilings, high bed, great furnishings. Modern electronics are in a drop-front chest. Room included a roomy desk top with phone and a 2nd phone by the bed. The bed was most comfortable. Slept soundly until a garbage truck awakened me early. The coffee in the room is made with a coffee press. That's a first. Makes fine, rich coffee. Too bad they nitpick with phone and internet chgs.
