We stayed

We stayed at the Doubletree Arctic Circle Hotel, this is a very elegant hotel, their rooms seem very small probably do to the fact they were built a long time ago, before king-size beds.

Outstanding Hotel

Loved the gracious and accommodating staff. The room was charming, the complimentary coffee was an unexpected and delightful surprise and the cookies were delicious.

disappointed

valet parking was manddatory $26 per day and room was extremely tight.

great for $$

Got an excellent price on hotels.com for hotel room. Clean, large, reasonably quiet. would suggest you ask for room on upper floors if you are a quiet sleeper.

dead fly

dead fly on pillow, did not wash glasses or cups(just restacked them), room and hallways had awful smell, food/garbage in hallways uncollected. one good thing was Front desk Staff was outstanding. I should have just stayed in a one star hotel at 1/3rd the price...

Elegant, Classy Hotel

Very convienient, everything we wanted to see was within walking distance. Although old in construction, the hotel was totally modern inside. An excellent place for either business or personal travel.

Very Nice

The hotel is very nice and the staff were very accommodating in every way. The hotel is within walking distance of most of the places we wanted to see. The price is more than we would have normally paid, but we took the train and didn't drive, so that in itself saved us parking fees for the whole trip. The hotel itself is unique and very well decorated and comfortable. The view wasn't anything but buildings, but we only spent evenings in the hotel.

Interesting Atmosphere

I was very pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere in the hotel. There was music in the bacground constantly, everything was in 1920's fashion, furniture was custom made and the lobby was cool to hang out in. The rooms can be extremely small, we had two rooms one of which was small the other one bigger. If you are in the bigger one you are in the clear. We got a great deal online so it was worth it. Otherwise it might be a bit expensive.
