Trip Type: With Friends Review 1 of 48Magnificent hotel and staff
The staff is always exceedingly courteous and helpful. Winston's restaurant is one of the best I've ever dined at, and I make a point to dine there every time I stay on the Queen Mary, which is several times a year. I highly recommend this hotel.

The best rooms on the Queen Mary are the restored state rooms, which have magnificent wood paneling and authentic fixtures. I love the portal windows and the cabin ambiance of the rooms. They are very romantic and quiet. The long hallways remind me of the hotel from the shining, which is really fantastic if you're on the Queen Mary ghost hunting. The staff has always been exceedingly kind and helpful to me, especially Virginia at the front desk.

I thought the customer service was a big improvement from last time I went there. The room was very nice I just prefer the sea view. But I love the art deco look it was fabulous.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 5 of 48Hotel, Tourist Attraction, and Legend All in One
Any chance you can get to stay on a docked legendary ship like the Queen Mary should not be passed up! The price was right, the staff was friendly and helpful, and it was a great opportunity to do something different during a tourist type stay in LA. The decor inside remains from the 1930s-40s but everything is clean and well maintained. The boat is dry docked in Long Beach, but there is no beach in walking distance (though there are plenty of industrial and warehouse looking buildings in the near distance). The neighborhood is fine but you won't be walking to any amenities or laying out on sand. Staying at the Queen Mary was the highlight of the trip and I am looking forward to going back again!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 7 of 48Great experience
as a historical monument, this hotel still carry reasonable good maintained rooms and cleanliness and superb location to many long beach attractions Breakfast are great with great hotel staff from bellman, waitresses and front desk clerk. It is worth to try especially with your kids and you also save on tours because you see many section of the ship that you normally have to pay as a part of tour

The Queen Mary was a great place to stay for this event especially the FREE shuttle that took us directly to and from the festival which kept us from having to worry about parking and driving. If you don't need to hang out in your room or by a pool, this is a fun hotel adventure...without leaving the port!

Wow, what a great experience we had at the Queen Mary. Not your 5 star hotel stay but definitely exceeded expectations. The hotel is great and the room was much bigger/nicer than expected. They have done a great job at preserving history and maintaining a comfortable environment at the same time! Would definitely recommend checking out the Queen Mary Hotel!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 10 of 48Pre-Cruise on Queen Mary
This hotel was an excellent choice prior to my Carnival Splendor cruise, leaving out of the port of Long Beach. The checkin for the cruise is literally within steps of the Queen Mary. Understand, this hotel is almost in original condition -- and you SHOULD ask for a room that hasn't been renovated. The old marble-topped, art deco furntiure in the room is irreplaceable. The feel of the hotel cannot be recreated. Don't expect brand new, and you'll be fine. Appreciate her for the fine ship she once was.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 13 of 48Classic comfort
The Queen Mary was considered the way to travel many many years ago. The Queen Mary remains largely unchanged, as many of the fixtures, working or otherwise, are still in place. The room was very comfortable, and I enjoyed the unique atmosphere and experience. There was an extra $15 for parking yourself, since it shares the tour lot, which I personally find annoying considering the cost of the room itself, and how underused the lot appeared to be overnight. The Deluxe Stateroom was good size, though the secondary wall lights did not work, only the main lights. Overall, I very much enjoyed the stay. The Observation Bar was enjoyable, which had a cover band playing 60s and 70s hits.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 14 of 48Great Stay
I stayed on the Queen Mary for two days, and it is the best hotel I have everstayed in. The hotel service was great, really good (and fair priced) room service, and in a very good location in Long Beach. The only bad thing I have to say is that the hotel is in need of a few repairs, but it is an old ship, so that is to be expected. What I didn't expect was that the Queen Mary is a very "green" ship and as such they turn off the toilet water at night to save water, which is very inconvienent when you have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night!
