Trip Type: Business Review 4 of 28wrecked my vehicle, refuse to pay
i was forced to use a valet service (they do not tell you there is a $25 valet charge when you book)and they did approx. $2500 in damage to my vehicle. i have called them several times and they do not call back including the general manager. no satisfaction after 37 days of trying.

Trip Type: Business Review 5 of 28Wonderful location, some service problems
A beautiful hotel and spacious room with a fabulous location right on the beach. We watched the moon rise over the ocean from our balcony. Restaurant service very slow for breakfast. Still overall a great value

Trip Type: Business Review 6 of 28Great location on the beach but service needs improvement
This hotel is lovely. The suite we stayed in was very comfortably and attractively set up. However, there are some service issues. Service in the restaurant was usually average to poor. And the common areas are kept as cold as a meat locker. During our stay it was in the 50's and 60's outside and it felt colder in the lobby. We loved the location on the beach and would stay there again. But a little pricey for what you get.

Trip Type: Business Review 12 of 28Great Place!
Wow, the staff is remarkably friendly from the moment you arrive. Front desk was great, checked me in three hours early and gave me a great room. I was here on business, so I only got one afternoon for the resort, but the pool and staff were great, the "lazy river" if fantastic! Very unique. Cant park your own car, you have to valet which is absolutely fine with me, I love the convenience, but its worth noting before you go. Overall, I would definitely go back, and likely will with my family.

Trip Type: Business Review 13 of 28great property
The property was beautiful but the valet could sue some work. For $16.00 a day you would expect them to be more pleasent

Trip Type: Business Review 14 of 28AWESOME RESORT !!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Pelican Grand and we are already making plans to return. I am going to send my kids there for their anniversary! Bobbi, our housekeeper, was wonderful...she kept the room in beautiful condition! We had the Kingsize Suite with a large private balcony....AWESOME !!

Trip Type: Business Review 15 of 28Pleasant surprise while on business
I went to Ft. Lauderdale on business and my colleague convinced me that we should stay at the beach if we could find a great hotel on hotels.com. The Pelican Grand is terrific. It's really beautiful, the rooms are huge, the service is great and it's very laid back. I dislike resort type hotels where you get nickled and dimed for everything and it feels like Disney all the time. I wished my husband and sons were along, as the room was ideal for a family to be able to spend several days, and the beachfront view was wonderful. As a runner, I appreciate Ft. Lauderdale's miles of beachfront sidewalks. Running south from the hotel in the morning was pleasant. Definitely have a new, better opinion of Ft. Lauderdale!
