Trip Type: Romance Review 1 of 18Close but no Towels
Overall a decent hotel. The room was clean when we arrived and fairly comfortable. The hotel is literally right across the road from Universal which was extremely convenient and very well priced for the location. Now for the bad news. When my husband and I arrived, there were no towels in the room and after a long day of traveling I was looking forward to a warm shower. I called the front desk and it took housekeeping almost two hours to bring me ONE set of towels. In the course of our three day stay our room wasn't turned down once. Again, marginally a nice hotel but the housekeeping staff needs to get their act together.

Trip Type: Romance Review 2 of 18wonderful hotel
I was worried at first that seeing as the price was low the hotel would not be decent, but to my surprise the hotel was very clean had a refrigerator and nice furniture !! This is the second time I have gone there and will continue !!

Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 18Easy location
Easy location for the money. If you can manage to stay here by getting it at a large discounted rate then do it. The rooms are spacious and although the internet access signal is weak in some rooms the hotel overall is nice. Has a Tiki bar at the pool in the evenings and its a 10 minute walk to Universal Studios. Highly recommended. Be warned of the $2.13 fee per day at the end of your stay. its a hidden fee for the safe and refrigerator in the room.

Trip Type: Romance Review 5 of 18Old and Dirty
Carpet was dirty, beds were old and scary. The bathroom was surprisingly clean (newly remodeled).

Trip Type: Romance Review 7 of 18Disgusting!
The AC in our room did not work properly, we roasted in there! We woke to roaches and ants crawling around in the vanity area. Manager refused refund and offered 50% off to stay there again, like that would happen!!

Trip Type: Romance Review 9 of 18Bathroom was Excellent, Beds & Carpet Not So Much
The bathroom was newly remodeled, very clean, wonderful. The beds were old and thin and looked hollowed out, but they were comfortable. The carpet was dirty and stained. It looked like it needs to be replaced. I too was charged $2+ per day for "housekeeping and maintenance." Safe did not have key, could not use. The shuttle service is only once in the morning to drop off to theme parks and then once in the evening to p/u from theme parks. I guess I was thinking it would be a constantly running type thing where every hour or so a shuttle would come by. Anyway, that turned out to be irrelevant b/c we walked to universal. Probably will not stay here again. We will more than likely splurge for one a little better (& closer to universal).

Trip Type: Romance Review 10 of 18Beware
This hotel was located in a very depressed area, with abandoned properties all around. Desk clerk asked for credit card and made an imprint of it even though room was already paid for. Then they tacked on an additional $2.25 for "Amenities" (which included use of their pool and parking lot). We stayed at the Days Inn Maingate East Disney the next night and this was NOT the case. The pillows in our room were all thrown into a heap and had no pillowcases, but room service did bring some up after calling the front desk. There were also gaps in the door which allowed bugs to enter, so we had to place a bathtowel under the door to prevent more flying ants from entering the room. On the plus side, it WAS close enough to walk to Universal. We did not use, or even see, the pool, so I cannot comment on that "amenity."

Trip Type: Romance Review 12 of 18Don't shower here
The water temperature could not/would not remain regulated. I adjusted the water to the proper temperature and part way through my shower, the water was like ice! I re-adjusted the water and a few moments later, it was scalding hot! I spent more time adjusting the water temperature to e able to take my shower than I did actually taking my shower!
