Great Girls Getaway

I stayed in this hotel with my daughters for a girls weekend. We requested adjoining rooms and did not really expect to get them. We got beautiful adjoining rooms with great views of the city and river. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and would stay there again.

Convenient Location; Inadequate Housekeeping Staff

Due to a "full house" we were not able to get into our room until well over an hour after check in. Then, the only reason we got in was we agreed to take a 2-bedded room instead of the king-bedded room that we had requested. Part of the room (bar area) had not been cleaned (dirty glasses, etc.). Staff were pleasant and housekeeping worked hard, but there were not enough to prepare for the registered guests. Location was great. Area safe. Beds were comfy.

Perfect for Lollapalooza

This hotel is very convienient to Grant Park and was the perfect place to start and end each day at Lollapalooza. It is a very nice hotel with very friendly and helpful staff.

Great Chicago location, but...

We stayed at the Fairmont two Saturday's in a row, and both stays were disappointing. We had to call the hotel prior to each stay and both times it took the hotel 30-40 minutes to answer their phone. For the price, we expected nicer decor (it looked cheaply done); more comfortable beds-the mattresses were too soft and the sheets too hard-pillows weren't comfortable either; a more accomodating front desk staff. Our friends who were also there on the same dates will undoubtably add similar comments.

Unexpected charges

Hotel and service was great. I found out after my stay that parking is $49 per day.

Great Experience

Looked newly updated. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Great wine bar and sushi bar. Friendly staff. close in location.

Excellent Hotel

The room was a great size! The beds were very comfortable too! The only thing I didn't like was the valet parking was so much. The location is great to walk around, it's close to Michigan Ave. and Millenium Park and about a $5 cab ride to just about anywhere. The hotel was beautiful! A very good wine bar is located right in the hotel lobby...perfect for a day that is rainy and windy outside. Which lately is every day in Chicago. I will definately stay here again!
