Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 23Great Location
The hotel is located right next to Millenium Park which was great for us! If you dont mind walking the hotel is located near the Magnificent Mile and all the shopping an dining that you could possibly want. The room was a bit old looking as far as carpet and walls were concerned. It was very clean though which made up for the age. Price was pretty good for the location. Would recommend.

Trip Type: Family Review 2 of 23Great location - walked to everything!
The location of the Fairmont was fantastic - within walking distance to Michigan Ave., Navy Pier, Grant Park, Theater District, and right next to Millenium Park! The hotel service was exceptional, and the concierge was very helpful finding restaurants and directions. The hotel is very close to the L, and we were able to take it easily to see a Cubs game one evening. We are looking forward to returning soon!

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 23Hotel Great - Service needs improvement
The hotel itself was great - clean room - great decor - great location. However, we were there for 2 days in August without air conditioning, and no acknowledgement of the fact from staff except to say they were working on it. Most disappointing was the service - from bell hop to front desk to concierge - no effort was given to customer service. I would give friends a qualified recommendation, in the hopes that our experience was not the norm.

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 23Wonderful location
Beautiful room, great service and a very convenient location. Excellent proximity to lakefront, Michigan Avenue and Millennium Park. The park was a nice break from running from attraction to attraction. Would stay here again.

Trip Type: Family Review 8 of 23Nice, but missing an essential
There's a very "upscale" feel to the hotel, but I only was able to get a complimentary cup of coffee in the hotel on one morning; otherwise you have to pay $2 for a cup (not worth it), or try and figure out their fancy espresso machine in the room and even then it's not clear if you have to pay for the in-room coffee (it's stocked with the rest of the mini-bar items). Heck, even a Super-8 offers free coffee every morning!
