Great hotel

I liked that it wasn't a touristy, huge hotel but still had everything. My room was great with a huge bathroom, dressing area, and gorgeous view of Lake Michigan and a park. I would definitely recommend it and plan to stay there again when I return to Chicago.

I especially like how clean and beautiful the rooms were and the location which is walking distance to the heart of Chicago.

Outstanding Fairmont experience

My experience at the Fairmont was outstanding, from the front desk staff to the concierge to the cleaning staff.

4 Star Hotel with 2 Star Service

Room not ready at 5:00pm, had to pay more to get a room that was. Forget about free shoe shines; the shoes will stay in the hall forever.

Quiet and Comfortable

Fairmont is quiet and comfortable; very easy to get to if you're driving in to Chicago.

Outstanding hotel

We were very pleased with the Fairmont. The staff was helpful and courteous, the room was spacious and clean. The gym/spa area was an unexpected bonus...a great place to relax, exercise and renew. We look forward to our next stay.

For a Fairmont Hotel, a little disappointed

We just stayed at the Fairmont Chicago. I was a bit surprised that the hotel had somewhat of a dated feel...nothing terrible but just not up to the standards of the other Fairmont hotels that I have stayed at. I was also a bit disappointed that you had to pay for the gym and parking was a whopping fifty dollars per night! The concierge was great and helpful in securing reservations. The room was clean and nice. I would probably stay again but might try something a little more upscale like the Drake.
