Would definitely recommend it if you just need a cheap place in central location to spend the night. Close to the beach, shops, restaurants. Not the cleanest. I found a dead cockroach in the bathroom LOL. You get what you pay for. Note that there's a fee for parking and it is high. You can park in a hotel a block away for half the price.

The outside is really nice. The hotel almost looks swanky form the exterior. But don't let that fool you. Parking is A JOKE!!! $18 a night to park! Not mentioned online either which is completely not cool. As you exit the lobby anyone can tell how rundown the Aqua Continental really is :( The elevators are worn down with buttons which are faded. The hallways are narrow as well beccause the floors are so tiny. The room was soooo small. It was pretty much a bed and a tv stand. I really like that we had a mini fridge to keep our water and snacks fresh and cold. The bar sink had no hot water runnning. The room came equipped with a mini coffee makeer and microwave which was a nice amenitie. The restroom was tiny and the water was chaotic. IT was either dull cold water or intense running boiling water. It took a few minutes to get the pressure and temperature of the water decent :/ The bed was springy and little and the closet was way too tiny. The air conditioner was incredibly loud; but had to remain on due to the fact that it ws humid. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't all terrible, just for the most part. The Hotel is centrally located - I mean right on the strip of Waikiki Beach. You could walk anywhere. The hotel was just shabby. In need of major renovation.. It was cheap for the location but if you are expecting nice you will be dissapointed. It wasn't that bad for me just because we spent much of our outdoors. So if you just plan on showering and sleeping go for it! Park in the street just read the signage posted.

Trip Type: Romance Review 6 of 10Budget Hotel in Great Location
First: this is not the place to take your new wife for the honeymoon. BUT it is really nice for the money and the location is 2 blocks from Waikiki beach. Also, the front desk staff folks were really friendly and accommodating. Overall great value for the money.

Everything about this hotel is tiny. The parking stalls, the elevator, the rooms. The only nice thing about the hotel was the gentleman at the front desk who was friendly, professional and did his best to make our stay nice. Our room smelled of smoke and was suppose to be non smoking, the air conditioner rattled, we tried opening the window so we could turn it off, it opens 4 inches. The tile in the bathroom was broken and missing, the lights were dim, probably to keep you from seeing the dirt. We did not let anyone in the room to "clean" beacause I didn't trust them. We asked to change rooms and were told by a woman at the front desk, "you are going to get the same thing just in a different room, is it worth packing up?" The parking was an additional 18 dollars a night. (The guy at the front desk did suggest other parking at other hotels that was cheaper.) My wife and I will not recommend this hotel and wish we had moved to a different one but were only there for 2 nights. Not worth the move/time to do it. I will continue to use Hotels.com and don't hold you responsible in anyway. Your site is helpful and easy to use. I should have spent more time reading the reveiws.

Trip Type: Romance Review 8 of 10Great Value
The rooms are small and outdated; however, they are clean and comfortable. It is in the heart of Waikiki and within walking distance to many destinations.
