Trip Type: Business Review 2 of 32Perfect for the Money
I had to stay overnight because of a late night meeting. Zip in and zip out. Perfect for the money.

Trip Type: Business Review 3 of 32You get exactly what you expect
Overall this hotel is not what you should choose if you are looking for a romantic getaway or relaxing lessure spot. The hotel was cheap, and was what I need for my stay. The location is very nice and close to most of what you want to see in Waikiki or very accesable to anything else you can't easily walk to. If you just need a place to store your belonging, sleep, and shower then I recomend this hotel to all. If you are looking for anything more than at, literally at it, then you should probably choose a different place to stay.

Trip Type: Business Review 5 of 32OK for the price - avoid the Aloha Surf Building
Firstly, this is one of the friendliest hotels I have ever stayed at - the staff were all wonderful and helpful. The breakfast was basic, but it's rare to get one at all at this price in Hawaii. The hotel has a nice pool area and hot tub, and we checked out the suites next to the pool (for next time) which were great. The free internet room was also a plus. Our room was in the Aloha surf building across the street and was OK at best. The beds were uncomfortable and the decor was old. Parking at the hotel is valet only, but free overnight street parking is available - try out the Ala Wai Blvd which passes the hotel. Do NOT use the grocery store parking lot next to the Aloha Surf building as a tow truck hovers here, and if you do not go into the grocery store or return with an expensive ticket within 5 minutes your car's gone. We are due back in April and will use this hotel again, but we will difinitely not be in the Aloha Surf building.

Trip Type: Business Review 6 of 32no guests allowed, hidden parking fees
hotel does not allow friends in your room. I used to live in hawaii and have a lot of friends there. This hotel is very strict about not allowing anyone in your room at anytime for any reason. I also feel that all charges should be disclosed before booking the room, including parking fees, therefore I consider this a hidden fee. Everything else was fine.

Trip Type: Business Review 7 of 32breakfast is a joke
The room and location were nice. However, we could not go out on our balconies because of hotel construction (they had wood blocking/locking the balcony doors from the outside)But we still had a nice view from our room. The only complaint I have is the "Breakfast" it is a joke! You must sign in before you are allowed to get any item. The only juice served is from the canned pineapple (only fruit choice) they serve. The toast is pre-made, so it's cold. There were a few donughts and a few packages of gogurt. That's it not much to eat or choose from. Other than that it was not a bad place.

Trip Type: Business Review 9 of 32Great for the money
There are only a few minor things I did not like about the hotel. Overall, very good for the price, and the location is very convenient to Waikiki. However, I had 3 single beds, which is not terrible, but less comfortable. Also, the beds have noisy rubber/plastic covers that squeek when you turn. Additionally, they use flat sheets on the bottom which tend to come untucked and uncomfortable. Lastly, the "breakfast" is a bit of a joke. You can have toast, mini donuts and/or cheap croissants along with canned pineapple and gogurt. Fortunately, there are some $3.75 bfast deals in the area. On a positive note, the coffee is very good, and I am pretty particular. Better than the $3.50 I paid for Kona at a nearby stand. Overall I think this is a very good value, nice and clean with friendly staff and good location.

Trip Type: Business Review 14 of 32great hotel!
Great location for business trip. The hotel if off of the main drag in Waikiki but close to Ala Moana, and Kapiolani Blvd. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There is a bar located in the lobby of the hotel (great pupus, cheap drinks) more of a "regulars" feel rather than tourist attraction. Room smelt kind of funky but it was clean.
