Needs Inprovement

Major problems I had was going on the wireless internet most of the time it was a very poor signal not allowing to do business and the A/C sounded like a jet engine not allowing me to sleep along with the mattress being very hard. It did have some nice features such as the mini-kitchen.

Great Room for The Money :)

I have stayed at other extended stay hotels and this experience was similar. The price is great...especially when compared to other hotels in the area. The rooms are spacious and clean. I like that they have the AC units in the room that you can control the actual temperature. The location was wonderful. They are located near a few restaraunts and businesses within walking distance. And they are not far from the Las Olas area if you enjoy clubbing. The staff was friendly and helpful as well. The only thing missing is complimentary breakfast, but you have a full refrigerator and small kitchen area minus an oven where you can prepare your own food if you choose. Overall it is a good choice for the least amount of money and I would recommend this hotel to others.

a good value and a great location

An economical alternative to conventional hotel and eat out routine; a superior location, adjacent to a good public bus system, stores, restaurants, the water taxi, and the inland waterway.

Good room for the money

My husband and I stayed here after arriving late at night to Ft. Lauderdale. It would have been nice if the hotel had a shuttle to/from the airport, and the bed wasn't all that comfortable, but overall, a good room for the price. It was hands down the most inexpensive room I could find online, which is what I was looking for considering we just needed a place to crash for sleeping before starting our vacation.

Decent for the Money

The front desk staff was a bit disorganized. I believe they were busier than usual. We were not expecting a 5 start hotel. The hotel was clean but had no extra amenities such as an extra pillow or a cot. There is food within easy walking distance and the people were friendly. It suited our purposes fine.

Stay prior to cruise

We booked a stay at this hotel for two days prior to our cruise to South America. When booked we requested a smoking room and informed them we would be arriving late. Upon our arrival we were informed there were no smoking rooms available. The room was other wise to be expected. During our stay the trash cans and ashtrays outside the main entrance were not emptied until the morning of our departure and only after a travel agent staying there for a conference complained. Because the trash cans were not emptied there was wet paper all over the graound because of the rain.

Exactly as advertised

We stayed there twice in during our week of Vacation. We took the Discovery Cruise from Ft. Lauderdale to the Bahamas. We stayed at the hotel for 1 night on our way there and 1 night before returning home. The Hotel was clean, nice and the staff was very helpful. The location is perfect if you are leaving out of the port since it is only a few blocks away. Both of our stays at the hotel were just as we expected. It's not a fancy hotel but then it's not advertised as one. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

No clean Rooms

We arrived it took them 10 minutes to acknowledge us and then inform us that the cleaning staff decided to not clean all the rooms that were reserved. So we ended up in a Smoking room w/ double beds after we booked months ahead. Other people were told that even if though they had reservations there were no clean rooms available and they were not having anyone come into to clean them.

Needs Improvement

We chose this hotel based on location and price, since we were arriving late and leaving early the next morning. We didn't have high expectations, but did think it would be clean, which it wasn't. There was garbage on the bathroom floor behind the wastebasket, and a section of the carpet was missing, exposing the tacking strip with nails sticking up.
