Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 1 of 24Great Hotel
This is a great Location for Niagara Falls viewing plus the Casino right across the street was a lot of fun. The neighborhood is sort of run down, we didn't want to eat at the Hotel restaurant but there are no fastfood places near the Hotel so you're limited for places to eat unless you want the expensive breakfast/lunch @ the hotel

The room price is not worth the value of such average accomodation. Very unlikely the Crowne Plaza Hotel I have known for its class A accomodation and comfort. This hotel unit in Niagara, NY is the exact opposite of the popular Crowne Plaza Hotel.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 3 of 24Tired Hotel
For a hotel with such a recognized brand name, the Crowne Plaza was a complete disappointment. The hotel appears clean but is in tremendous need of new paint, wallpaper and carpet. Our perception of poor safety was also an issue. While unloading our car we noticed a homeless person digging through the hotel entrance trashcan and then a hotel maintenance worker approached us and said to be sure and hide valuables from plain view in our car. The hotel's surrounding area is also depressed and there are many closed businesses. It didn't appear to be safe to walk in the area after dark. We also didn't sleep well as we awoke on 2 occasions to the sounds of yelling hotel guests in the hallway. If we visit the Niagara area in the future we will certainly stay overnight on the Canadian side of the Falls.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 4 of 24Good hotel, clean rooms
My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much. Maids were friendly but not intrusive. Rooms and lobby was clean and inviting. If I was pressed to complain about anything it would be the parking situation. When you pay for a room it should come with a place to park at no additional cost. Other than that I loved my times there.

When we got to the hotel there was nowhere to park while checking in. They have a small turn-in that was full at the time. No trolley to load all of our bags into. We found out there that parking costs $5 a night in the adjacent lot (not that big of a deal, but was unaware of that at time of booking). There is not a lot of food around the hotel for a decent meal though there is a Starbucks in the lobby (a life saver). We ordered room service one day and waited an hour before calling down and finding out that they had gone to the wrong room. They said they would send the same meal up to us (hour old eggs, no thanks!) with no apology or attempt to make the situation better. Our room was situated across from the convention center. One morning we were awakened by a loud jazz band playing for a road race registration. The next night there was a band playing until 10:30 pm. The toilet did not work and the bathroom smelled like cigarette smoke. The rooms are very nice and beds are comfortable and the cleaning staff are so nice, always smiling and saying hello. However, the people at the front desk were not helpful or even polite! I witnessed a woman with her children locked out of her room on the phone with the front desk. She told me that they refused to come up to help her in to her room, they insisted that she come down (with all of her bags and 2 kids) to get the key card reprogrammed!!! We were on the 3rd floor at the end of the hall & she had too much to carry to lug down and back! SO! I will never go back to this hotel. I was so frustrated with this hotel & very happy to leave it!!!!!!!

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 7 of 24Best Hotel Stay, EVER!!!
This is my first on-line review posted, but this hotel definitely warranted it. We acually thought we booked the Canadian side Crowne Plaza but this "mistake" takes care of any future trips to Niagara Falls area. We will only stay here in the future. The hotel was very clean, the staff (front desk to housekeeping) was very friendly. The beds were the most comfortable we have ever slept on. The pool was open long hours (9am - 11pm), so it gave us time in the morning to use before checking out. It was a very family friendly pool too. The bathrooms were clean and upscale. The parking was very reasonable. We also ate twice in the restaurant at the hotel. The food and service were great. We even bought a nice photo of The Falls in the gift shop. We only stayed one night but are looking forward to our next trip there soon. Five star hotel.

The bed was confortable, but the carpets ( room and hall) were very dirty. The couch had a big and disgusting stain on it.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 9 of 24it was good
The Hotel was very clean, the people were nice and it was in walking distance to everything you needed and wanted. The only bad thing was that there was only indian food everywere and i mean everywhere thank god it was in walking distance to the casino so you could find something to eat. The hotel eating was good too! The Hotel was quite even with a bunch of families around overall it was a good time!

Trip Type: Special Event Review 12 of 24High price for what you get
The hotel was ok, our room did not get cleaned until the afternoon, and dirty towels were left on our floor. Staff was nice and they did have a lifeguard on duty in the pool area. Close to the falls and close to the bridge

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 14 of 24Convention crowds
Because its a convention hotel right opposite the casino, there are a lot of people who want to have a good time and can be pretty loud about it. Nothing to do with the hotel staff and general comfort but it will be loud.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 15 of 24Comfortable Beds!!
I had to go to Niagara Falls for a wedding. I chose this hotel based on the reviews. The hotel was gorgeous and right across the street from the casino. The room was very nice, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The only thing I noticed was that I do not think the room was vaccuumed very good before I got there. I noticed a plastic piece on the floor that would normally hold price tags and a bottle cap on the floor. Other than that the room was comfortable and very clean.
