Okay for the Price

The hotel was in the perfect spot, on the beach and walking distance of many stores and bars. It was a cheap hotel which explains why the elevator didn't work. The view of the beach was nice but the outside light didn't work. It wasn't very clean but we expected that for the price. Overall it was an ok hotel and if I need a cheap hotel in Daytona I would go back to the Conch House.

Great Hotel

This was a great hotel for the price. it exceeded my expectation by alot. it was in a great shop right w/o walking distance of my stories and resturants. we walked to the resturants about every night, i loved my stay at the conch house, i hope to be back one day.

Location location location

Well all the bad things said about it are true... the room wasent that bad the secuirty of the room was deff questionable looked like the door had been kicked in a few times but you never know.. we went during the family springbreak so it wasent that wild everyone at the desk was nice it wasent that bad priced and the loaction made it all worth while.. walking distance to stores clubs bars restaurants movies everything..

Great location, horrible smell...

It's an early 1900's hotel, that is in dire need of a face lift. No working elevator to lug our luggage to the third floor. Loose granite steps for stairs. The smell, can't quite place it. Part mold, smoke, beer, funk. The rooms were nasty, with a door into the hall, and another out to the outside hall. Pool was nice, right on the beach. We paid a lot during the Daytona 500. It is what it is...

Sure why not

For the price this place was great. The staff gave us a cheap upgrade to ocean front. The place needed some work but hey I was there to hang on the beach not soak in A/C in the hotel. This is great place if you are tight on funds and want to stay on the beach!

Inexpensive price with Great location!

Although there was no elavator, it's location was absolutely wonderful for the price we paid! It was right on the ocean and had a very nice pool. The room was a little bit on the small side but it was so inexpensive that we overlooked that. It was in the heart of Daytona Beach within walking distance of some clubs/bars and shopping. I would definately reccommend this hotel for the price!

Great room for the money

We got more than we asked for. We got and under-used a two room suite for the regular price. The front desk person was great, the room was clean, the staff were great -no complaints. This is not a five star it is a 3+ and does a fine job at it. I saw the other reviews and was taken aback. Did they stay at the same place I did? Book it with confidence.
