Trip Type: With Friends Review 3 of 159Great Room & Location for the $$$
My best friend and I stayed at The Salisbury for a 3 day trip to NYC and it was great! The size of the room was ample (especially for the price). Our room even had a kitchenette and a coffee-maker, which was a great convinence. Although the beds were on the extra firm side, the rest of the accomodations were very comfortable. The hotel has great mid-town location. The hotel is very close to Central Park, 5th Ave Shopping, Orange and Yellow Subway lines, and many museums. Also Rockefeller Center, Times Square, & Radio City Music Hall are all a short walk away. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Great hotel with great location, easy walk to the Met Opera, Columbus Circle, Times Square, Central Park and luxury shopping. Would definitely stay here again. Not a fancy hotel but perfectly adequate and the beds were really comfy!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 5 of 159Not bad for the price and location
As a tourist, the hotel location was great because it's just south of central park and north of the theater district. Also there was easy subway access. We had a room facing the main street and it was pretty noisy. I asked for some complimentary ear plugs from the front desk, but never received any. We just bought some from Duane Reade and were able to sleep well through the night.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 6 of 159Great Location
This hotel was one block from Central Park South and was withing walking distance to restaurants, etc. There's a continental breakfast offered for six dollars and is well worth it. The condition of the hotel is satisfactory - old but clean. It was a good deal for the money, but I would probably pay a little extra next time and stay somewhere else.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 7 of 159great location
Loved the location of the hotel and the fact that it is a classic old style. The drawbacks are the carpets which in our room ( especially the closet ) smelled like dog pee. The continental breakfast was cheap and everything fresh and tasty. For the price they should be able to change the old gross carpets.

The Salisbury is very professionally run and the rooms are quiet and comfortable. The location can't be beat.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 10 of 159Location
I liked the location....close to Carnegie Hall. Great room for the price. Generous size and microwave, coffee maker, refrig, living room with TV andhide-a-bed and bedroom with another TV. Very comfortable for the 3 of us. The two restaurants next to the hotel were great, too. The Green Cafe has a great staff and quick meals, especially breakfast! Very convenient to lots of activities. We walked the 9 short blocks to Times Square without trouble and on to the Empire State Building. Lots to see. I recommend Hotels.com to all my friends and this one in particular.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 11 of 159good value for the price
This was our 3rd trip to NYC and we have previously stayed in 2 other hotels in this same neighborhood. I don't understand why the hotel doesn't have a higher star rating. It is old, but it is clean, and the rooms are very nice and roomy. We had a minifridge, coffee pot and microwave in the room, which we didn't have during previous stays. There are a couple of great restaurants right next to the hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful. The beds were a little too firm for me, but there were lots of pillows on them. We purchased a 72 hour wi-fi for a very reasonable price, and it worked without a hitch. Great walking distance to 7th avenue, as well as 5th ave and Central Park.

We selected this hotel based on price and location. I would absolutely recommend to others. Great service, clean, close to Central Park, Time Square and Theatre District. Walking distance to everything. Great experience over all. No complaints with hotel.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 13 of 159Great hotel, Great Price
We have stayed at the Salisbury many times before, and each time, we are impressed with the consistently outstanding experience. The rooms are large, the beds firm(which we love)and the closets amazing. The fact that there is a mini-kitchen in each room is an added perk that we never think we'll need and yet always use!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 14 of 159Great value for the money
I have stayed here before, and the value for the money is very very good. The rooms are much larger than you normally find in New York City. Although it is an older hotel, they have updated the bathrooms and were very very clean. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The location is great...so near Central Park and within easy walking distance to the theaters and Times Square area.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 15 of 159Really enjoyed our stay
This is my third time staying at the Salisbury Hotel. The location, service, and large rooms are why I keep going back. Having a microwave, refrigerator, two walk in closets, and an extra little bar sink helps when you have 4 people sharing a room. I also like the option and convenience of having the continental breakfast there for $4.
