Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 15Not a family hotel
I took my sons there and chose it because of the location. Whenever we came back in the evening, it was like walking through a club. Then, we tried to swim on Sunday and the pool was filled with 23 year olds and we had to get stamped to go in. We turned right around because there just wasn't any room at all.

Trip Type: Family Review 2 of 15Very Cool Hotel
The hotel had a nostalgic feel. It was updated to be modern. It was in a good location and had all the amenities we needed. The room was smaller than expected. The shower was neat but there was only a half glass wall and no curtain so the water splahed out all over the floor of the bathroom. We would stay again but would recommend paying for an upgraded room.

Trip Type: Family Review 3 of 15Worst Stay Ever!
Overall, my stay at the hotel was horrible. The hotel and rooms are very dark and depressing. The rooms are small, but the restrooms are even smaller. The carpet is very stained and the elevator creaks like an elevator in a haunted hotel. I was changed to three different rooms. The last room that I was moved to, the restroom sink had yellow water coming out of the faucet. I had to give my little girl a bath with Aquafina bottled water because the water was so nasty. I will never stay here or recommend this hotel to anyone.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 15Great Hotel
I think this is a great hotel for location and ambience. We had 3 rooms on this stay. One needed a bathroom upgrade, but aside from that, all 3 were fine. Service was a little slower this trip as compared to a year ago. Might they have downsized some staff in this economy? Still, for the location, the price and the quality, I recommend it.

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 15Solid hotel
This was a beautiful hotel with a great location! We even sat next to Vern Troyer (minnie me) while eating dinner. I was a bit disappointed in the room. I figured for the amount I paid it would be a little nicer. It was overall a really cool place to stay if your there to do the whole Hollywood thing.

Trip Type: Family Review 8 of 15great location
The hotel had very comfortable beds. The room was cozy but functional and you have to use the toilet seat to place your toiletries. I had a great blowup of Lou Reed smoking Marlboros above the head of my bed. Service at 25 degrees was lousy and the expensive food merely edible. Great location on the Boulevard. I didn't use the pool as was too busy doing touristy stuff. Expensive to park each day but the valet is great. NYTimes at your door each AM. I liked the dark atmosphere and the old lobby is very nice.

Trip Type: Family Review 9 of 15cool room
My 7th floor room had a blow up of Lou Reed smoking Marlboros with black fingernails placed over the bed. Room wasn't large, but adequate. Nice soaps and hair products. Friendly valet, but parking is costly. Loved the location, as I did tourist stuff. Enjoyed the old lobby. I didn't try the pool or any clubs at the hotel. Yeah, the hotel is lit darkly, but that is cool. Service at 25 degrees was lousy and the food way overpriced. The bed and pillows were very comfortable.

Trip Type: Family Review 13 of 15Great Hotel
Very impressed with the Hollywood Roosevelt even though the hotel is older. Excellent location. I had tickets to show at Pantages Theater and we were able to walk as well as being centrally located for all the tours. Thought it might be loud due it's central location but slept like a log both nights. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. Would definitely recommend.

The hotel is in the heart of Hollywood. We rented a car and the attendants were wonderful. Rooms were very nice. No view but didn't spend much time in our room.

Trip Type: Family Review 15 of 15Outstanding!
Our family enjoyed two nights at the hotel. It is centrally located to most attractions allowing us to walk without having to use the car. The only downfall was having to pay for parking. The daily rate was quite steep.
