Trip Type: Business Review 2 of 546The Sahara is ok for the price
The rooms were really cheap, most likely because I stayed from Mon through Thurs. so for the price, the rooms were as expected. The shower in the room I stayed in was in poor shape though. I had to fix the chain in the toilet and the little thing you have to pull on the tub faucet to turn on the shower was stuck, so I had to shower with both the showerhead and faucet on at the same time. Both of the elevators stopped working at various times of the day, so that was also frustrating. If I was on a lower floor, it wouldn't have bothered me that much, but I was on 26. The good things about the Sahara though, is that it's very cheap, they have $1 blackjack, the little cafe is nice and it's right at the end of the monorail making it easy to travel along the strip.

Trip Type: Business Review 3 of 546Needs Improvement
This hotel has outlived it's usefullness. The hotel is located at the end of the strip, a long walk to other properties. THe hotel is a nightmare to check-in at. Long lines and long waits with people backed out to the enterance and 3 people working the counter. Outrageous food prices with the coffee shop not offering any specials during normal hours. Only from 1:00a.m. to 5:00a.m. Monday thru Friday. When you check in and hav requested king size bed accomodations, you may not get what you requested because they have already rented out those rooms. So you will be stuck with 2 full-size beds because they do not have Queen size beds. For the price, they are asking too much, and the last couple of times, the room has lacked cleanliness, meaning the room wasn't cleaned prior to my arrival and had to be relocated or items, like towels were missing, and had to be delivered. The location is in a seedie ssend of town and a long walk to other properties unless one takes the monorail from inside the casino, and then it can be pricey on a daily basis.

Trip Type: Business Review 5 of 546Hotel for the Down and Out
This is the worst hotel that I have ever stayed in. The drains would not drain in the bathroom, and water would come up in the bathroom sink in the middle of the night leaving a film of hair. The hotel did not have rooms to replace the ones we were in. We checked out the next morning, well before our check out date. Only stay here if you are into down and out.

Older hotel in need of some renovations, overall though it is clean and the staff is very professional.

Trip Type: Business Review 10 of 546It's ok
I did expect something a little nicer being a hotel on the strip. Just like the reviews say, it's very old and out dated. It's alright for a one night stay. They suprise you with a non-negotiable $6.00 Facility fee upon check in. I will not stay in a hotel that I know has a facility fee. I feel it's a rip off and should be a part of the room rate. It's just as bad as charging passengers to take luggage with them on a flight. I felt the price was high to begin with in comparrison to what I am usually able to find in Las Vegas on Hotels.com, but I went with it anyway. The facility fee made me end up paying what I would have to stay at a nicer hotel. It's not bad, but I probably won't stay here again.
