PROSTITUTION HOTEL!!STAY AWAY FROM!

When we arrived to the hotel there was fire department and police personell. We were not given the rooom we were promised, which was a queen bed insetead i was given a smoking room with a twin bed. Going up to the room I was followed by two men who in my opinion were looking for trouble. Once arrived at my room I was apaulled that there was a room with prostitutes next door! All night the dook kept on opening and slamming, yelling and screaming for money fights etc. I was to nervous to draw any attention to myself so I did not sleep all night the room kept on being entering until 7:00 the following morning. This is not a hotel I recomend to anyone! Once I left I ran into some firemen and asked them about the hotel, they commented that they get calls there all the time for over doses assults and see the prostitutes.

GREAT DEAL!!

I was a little worried about staying here after I had read some of the other reviews, but I was extremely surprised when we arrived. This hotel is a great deal!! It is located right on the trolley line with a car stop just across the street. The room was clean and nice and cool. Other reviews reported that the hallways leading to the rooms were hot and this was true but the room was always comfy! There was another review that said the elevators smelled of urine.... NOT TRUE! The front desk employees were very nice and helpful. The French Quarter is about six blocks away. All in all this was wonderful experience and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a good place to stay and not go broke doing it!Hopefully we will be staying here again in September.

Don't Waste Money Remodeling This Place

Bad hotel in a bad place that was cheap due to remodeling. Nice staff fighting a losing battle with the location & surrounding neighborhood. They shouldn't waste money trying to remodel this dump-let it die & turn into another parking lot-the New Orleans hotel business won't miss it! Way too close to the elevated part of I-10 (my room was on the outside of the hotel on the third floor, at the same level of the highway), I spent twelve days & nights dealing with speeding cars, sirens and horns no more than 100 feet from my door. Too many people hanging around at all hours of the day & night throughout the hotel (turned out they had Katrina refugees still staying in the hotel-nearly four years after the storm!) The place has too many dark places and had a stale stench throughout it-even though they were remodeling it. It reminded you more of a bad government housing project than a hotel. Still I knew what to expect going in, so I wasn't that suprised about the place. Stay away-bad hotel choice!

IT WILL DO

This hotel will do for a duck off from friends and family. Belive me no one would even think of looking for you here. The down side is the night i checked in and went to park a lot of people was haning out on the stairs. I found some hanging out in the front, this give the hotel a unclear picture of trust.

What's expected for the money

The place was cheap and right inside the city so not much was expected. It was a little rundown and is right next to the interstate but it was just fine for a one night stay. If you're looking for comfort go somewhere else, but if you just need a place to crash then it works.

Cheap room, you get what you pay for.

This hotel was terrible the beds are hard, there were holes in the wall. When asked to check in early the guy at the desk told us we wouldn't be able to check in until 1 hour after posted check in time. There was also no ice bucket and when we asked the maid she said they didn't have any only to see others carrying one to the ice machine. The stuffing in the pillows was lumpy. And in the morning, there was no hot water for showers. I would not stay there again and I don't recommend it to anyone.

Not very clean

For the price, I was not expecting very much, but I was a little disappointed to find dried urine stains on the Toilet seat. I had to clean this myself. Shortly after this, I went and bought a can of lysol and soaked the rest of the room.

What a dive!!!

Great location, only blocks from the French quarter + Bourbon Street. Hotel was in a shabby condition. The reception area upon arrival, still had breakfast items out in reception at 1500. Shouting and swearing by other "guests". I believe there are people staying there that are still homeless after the Hurricane. These people made me feel most unwelcome. Being looked up and down and looks of disgust along with 'teeth sucking' when you are in a lift with them is very unnerving. The room was clean, although there was a strong smell of damp in the room. There was buzzing and flickering lights in the room and bathroom, along with lumps of cement in the bath. I thought I would stomach it, as I was only there for two nights. The neighbours on the first night decided it would be a great idea to open their side of the connecting door, bang on it really loudly repeatedly for over two hours, along with slamming the door shut, only to open it again 5 minutes later. I didn't say anything, but thought it best to speak to reception in the morning. When I did, the receptionist/manager stated that if I came back to him after 1500, he would find me another room. At 1500, I went to reception, only to find that person had left 2 hours earlier, and had not told anyone. The receptionist said I had no chance of moving. I mentioned the banging etc,,, to this receptionist as well, who said if it happened again to ring down. That night, after about 15 minutes of the banging and shouting, I rang down to reception, only to be hung up on 3 times!!! I gave up and tried to get some sleep. When I went to check out in the morning, I asked for a receipt only for the receptionist to 'suck her teeth' at me and refuse to give a receipt. New Orleans is a fabulous place… but do not stay here!!!
