Trip Type: With Friends Review 2 of 71Very good value
Everything about the hotel itself is good. the price was good, the accomodations and the comfort of the place. The only thing i wasnt pleased was that i didn't realize it was such a stretch from the strip (Las vegas boulevard). other than that, the hotel was execllent.

The only negative thing I have is the food at the breakfast buffet. It wasn't very good and the buffet had minimal choices. A better choice is across the street at the Longhorn Casino. Great breakfast there.

Have stayed here before. Hotel is clean and safe. Food choices are excellent and away from casino smoke. Nice feature is not having to walk through the casino to get to elevator if you park on the back side.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 5 of 71Excellent!
This hotel isn't on the strip, but it was an awesome place to stay. It has two Casinos in it as well as a small food court, some light shows and other activities. We stayed here expecting to want to go to the strip a lot but found that we really didn't need to. Also the hotel was pretty close to Sam Boyd field and we were able to easily go to a football game while we were there.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 6 of 71Not that impressed...
It was okay, but the rooms were not as nice as they appear in the photos and the place is a little run down. They don't provide you with any information in your room about the hotel layout or amenities - it may be worth $30 a night - but not more than that! - Further from the strip than i realized.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 7 of 71You get what you pay for
In general, I would say I was satisfied. The bed isn't comfortable, but hey, you get what you pay for. I don't care for the extra $4.50/day "fee" they tack on at the end, but I guess that's how they get their money. The room is safe but in disrepair. Iron, ironing board, shampoo, conditioner, blow dryer, and soap. Air conditioning doesn't really get the room cool enough (and it wasn't that hot outside, so I can imagine how hot it would be when it's sweltering). The customer service is pretty good. Houskeeping is okay--so so. But hey, you get what you pay for.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 8 of 71Great hotel
The hotel provided a great experience. Everything was very satisfactory, and I had no complaints. There are many food options, and many different entertainment options. The staff was also all very friendly. I would definitely consider staying there again in the future.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 9 of 71Much better experience since the last time I stayed there
I have been staying at Sam's off & on for about 12 years, usually once or twice a year. In the beginning it was a great value but with all the changes and construction over the past four plus years it's become less attractive. But since I can still get decent rates through Hotels.com (much lower than booking directly with Sam's) I've still been staying there. This visit was a pleasent surprise. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was much cleaner and it appears they may have replace the old rock-hard mattresses with a much more comfortable set. Even the gaming seemed to be more fair. If I still have one complaint it's the lack of variety in the restaurants now. Gone is the Italian restaurant and 24 hour cafe, replaced by a TGI Friday's, which seems to me to be in competition with Billy Bob's, Sam's onsite steakhouse. At least Willy & Jose's (Mexican) is still there. Overall a very pleasent stay. I will be back in March and for the first time in a long time am looking forward to staying at Sam's.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 10 of 71Would stay again but wouldn't do the buffet again.
The staff was welcoming and informative. The beds were hard but not uncomfortable. The rooms are spacious and the A/C worked wonderfully! I didn't visit the casino portion but the breakfast buffet was something less than ok. The choices were few and were not very tasty but for under $6 bucks I really can't complain. The center of the hotel has a light show and I think this hotel/casino would be family friendly. Its very clean.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 12 of 71Very good for the price
This hotel is off strip but it got movie theatre inside and a lot of restaurants on site too. Many things to do there and also the service was excellent. The front desk service at check-in and check-out was outstanding. Will return again.

Large clean rooms with all the conveniences avaiable in the hotel. Great buffet and restaurants also great. Laser show a must to see but go to shows after dark for best viewing. Exceptional services avaiable for those with handicaps and all public Vegas buses are handicapped accessible even for scooters!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 15 of 71Good Place to have fun.
This was our second stay at Sam's. One of the things we like best is the cinema complex connected to the hotel. It was a great break from the gambling and noise. We saw "Julia & Julie" and enjoyed it very much. The staff was very friendly and helpful!
