hidden fees

I should have learned my lesson from my January stay. There is always a free parking voucher on the website, but somehow the Ambassador never honors it. Also, a resort fee of $8 is added once you get there. I booked here for convienence to French Quarter, but I did not save a dime with all the headaches this place gave me.

Hotel Room was not clean

The hotel is beautiful upon arrival. The room was nice and not to noisy. I am giving the hotel a bad review for the lack of cleanliness. Our room had someones hair in the bathroom and in the sheets. This grosses me out. I hope they take better care of cleaning in between visitors.

Cool Hotel

Old and fun. Short walk to French Quarter. We valet parked for $26 a night which seemed like alot, but there wasn't much else to do with your car in the middle of New Orleans.

Great location within a block of Harrah's Casino

This hotel is ancient and needs a refrigerator. It has old water pipes high in the ceiling with sprinkler system. Nice high ceilings. I moved the bedstand and there was a lot of dust. In the room, there was a beetle bug so big I thought it was a mouse. It appeared and disappeared under my bed as my husband tried to kill it. The valet service for your car was free and efficient.

good hotel, poor service

Was promised free vallet parking. Did not recieve. Had to park myself at 40.00 per night. Front desk was snoty and vrey unhelpful. wont be back ever.

Good Hotel. Service needs major work

I Rented this room for my daughters sweet 16 birthday. We reserved two double beds and when we arrived were told they did not have any left. Even though this is what I had paid for weeks in advanced, two teenagers slept on a hardwood floor that night. No cots, no beds, or even extra blankets avail. We were also suppose to receive free valet parking but were told the parking lot was full and we had to drive around and find our own parking and at our expense. I do not recommend this hotel

hidden charges

This is a nice hotel, convenient to French Quarter, Casino, etc. Free valet parking if available. Not happy about the additional "resort fee" they charged, in addition to what I paid to Hotels.com. No breakfast, and not close to restaurant with breakfast, as far as I could tell.

Will Stay Again

We enjoyed the hotel and the location was great for our visit. We didn't get a room with the exposed brick wall, which is the main reason we chose this hotel, but that is my only complaint.

Nice hotel, close to local attractions

It was a nice hotel and conviently located to the French Quarter etc.Room was very comfortable.My only qualm is with the bathroom.The tap in the shower would not shut off all the way and there was some mildew on the shower curtain.The floors in the bathroom and bedroom obviously had not been given a good mopping in a while.They were not filthy,but definately needed more attention.
