Stayed for the week end. Room was on the small side, but as cute as could be. Hardwood floors, High ceilings. Clean and serviced. Staff was extremely friendly, valet went out of his way to get a good parking spot for me. Check out was a breeze.

Trip Type: Romance Review 5 of 127Better hotel than I thought
Nice location and really nice rooms for the money. The only problem we had was our room was adjacent to the elevator and it was quite loud. Booked at the last minute though, so probably not a room they usually use. Try Mother's down the street for breakfast. Good food if you can stand the wait.

Trip Type: Romance Review 6 of 127Great Room for the money
As described..hotel room had exposed brick walls, absolutely charming. Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. Was allowed to check in super early (arrived at about 1030am!) Building was a coffee warehouse and although there are some rooms that are interior and have no view of the outdoors, they all have windows. Very interesting layout. Short Walk to the French Quarter and public trans (buses and street cars). Would definately return.

Trip Type: Romance Review 7 of 127Nothing Special
Room was very small. Bed linens were not great quality, sheets kept coming off mattress. The bathroom was nice and large, but there was some mold and corners were dirty. No view, brick wall. Nice hardwood floors and antique furniture. Also, they force you to pay a "check in service fee" in addition to what was pre-paid for the room...even if you do not use the services.

the room did not appear to be very clean. continued to find long hairs all over the bathroom and even on the bed. You can hear movement in the rooms from the hallway and the clerk at the front desk acted like doing her job was too much to ask. Do not recommend, although the price and location were great.

Trip Type: Romance Review 9 of 127Great Location, Room, and Price!
We absolutely loved the room. It had a nice homey look with the brick walls and hard wood floors. Loved the wrought iron beds! Only two issues not great was the coffee machine was in the bathroom, literally right beside the toilet, and the elevators have a musty smell. Otherwise the place was great, friendly people, great location, wonderful value??

The hotel provided a great New Orleans atmosphere with its unique design. We were very sastified overall with the hotel and the services provided. It was also within walking distance from the French Quarter, the casino, and the Superdome.

Trip Type: Romance Review 12 of 127Charming old coffee warehouse
Great location, free valet parking. Only problem is that some people don't realize daily resort fee is charged for phone, internet, pool, and weight room proviledge.

Trip Type: Romance Review 14 of 127Spartan room with extra charges
Hotel room is ok, but a lot smaller and with less than what is advertised. For instance, my room had no reading lamps. Air is very noisy and the Internet reminded me of old dial up days. There is a $8 "Amennities fee". This fee is not advertised at hotels.com or the Ambassator's site. Not a good surprise when you are checking out.

Trip Type: Romance Review 15 of 127HIdden Fees!
The room is ok (motel 6 quality). Very small and spartan with no reading lamps. Towels are old and shower is weak. Pictures in the hotel's web site are deceiving. Internet worked at a speed comparable to dial up. Most important: they charged me an "amenity package" fee of $7.95. That is a compulsory fee on top of the total price advertised by hotels.com or by the Ambassador's own web site. I did not know about this fee until the check out. (very sneaky...)
