Trip Type: With Friends Review 2 of 8It depends
If you want to see Vancouver, then don't stay at the River Rock. It is pretty far from downtown and, when we stayed there, the Skytrain did not run to the River Rock. Once it does, it will make downtown Vancouver much more accessible. The rooms were great, the service was great, the casino was fun. But, the neighborhood where the River Rock is located is not any of these things. It is a toss up - if you want a get away at a hotel, stay there. If you want to spend time in Vancouver, stay closer to the city.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 3 of 8Beautiful rooms
I was so pleasantly surprised by our room. The king size bed was like sleeping on a cloud. The robes were so comfy. The bathroom was fully equipped with all we needed, even a "quality" hair dryer that could be taken out of the bathroom if necessary. The huge flat screen TV in the living room was great. The pool was so very nice. The water slide was a real treat. The continued construction of the hotel was a bit of a bother, but if the end product is like the rest of the hotel, it will be worth it.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 4 of 8Comfortable Bed
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The bed was huge and very comfortable. I really loved the pillows as well. Pillows are often my biggest complaint at hotels but not here. Also the towels in the bathroom were large and very nice. The bathroom was huge with a great tub. My only complaint was that the water in the tub didn't drain fast enough while I showered so I was often standing in a puddle of water. I figure if that's my biggest complaint then the stay was a complete success. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 6 of 8More good points than bad.
Comfortable, friendly, relaxing are a few words to describe this hotel. The rooms are spacious and beds are very comfortable. Staff is friendly and accommodating. The one problem was we had a queen size bed when a king was reserved. Rather then take a chance on moving to a less desirable suite we stayed with the queen. One other note about this hotel. It's on the flight path to the Vancouver, BC airport. The room was quiet and the planes coming in for a landing were not that noticeable and I don't remember hearing any in the evening. Upgrades to the general location are going on including a skytrain station and additional parking across from the front. Bottom line I'd stay there again.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 8 of 8Great hotel near airport
Fantastic hotel near the airport. Very nice, large suite rooms. It is a newer hotel, so it is very clean and up to date. Nonsmoking casino. Fun pool. Noisy air traffic during the day, but quiet at night. Free valet parking for hotel guests. A terrific stay.
